Seems like the best option for navi owners is the fabled mimmicsx2. Wish I knew someone who owned one so I could get it copied. Friend of mine tried dumping the HDD as well, but the os seems to be stored on eeprom and that's more work than we have time for I wonder if the jap 2010+ has english files?

The Jap owner put Infiniti badges on it for some reason. Everything inside says nissan, engine says PV36 ^_^ Just trying to find a different grill that will fit it, having trouble finding parts for a 2008. Lots of confusion online over it being the same as a G35 or a G37. Hoping to find a new grill & sports lip, plus I need to find somewhere to tint the tail lights. Anybody know where to go? I've seen pre cut tint on eBay but haven't tried it. Loving it at the moment, but noticing it chugging every now and then, maybe from a tank of BP 95? I can't hear the engine from inside the car so I don't notice the gear change as much as I did in the R33, the chug has a similar feel to changing gears (auto) but over & over quickly. Drove it from Syd to Adel so maybe it needs a service. The all jap computer is a little annoying, english manuals have helped but I wish I could disable Navi all together, esp seeing as I can't replace the cdplayer/navi without stuffing everything up. Been experimenting with a 7" Android tab and a Galaxy S3 as carputer replacement. To many adapters & wires though, I need a old Galaxy Tab P1000 as that has RCA out. Newer android's use MHL, so have to go micro usb > hdmi > rca. Have HEAPS of Galaxy S3's lying about in pieces though, so trying to slave touch from the default screen but haven't had any luck. I think i'd have more luck with a specific tab as screen with a i/o that'l work. Missing the R33 turbo as well, luckily it hasn't sold yet so I still drive it sometimes

I solved my hicas heat/car on-off hicas issue by putting a s2 hicas ecu into my s1. A new s1 ecu made no dif, but for some reason a s2 hicas ecu fixed it instantly.

Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried everything, replaced hicas ecu with a working s1 ecu, replaced power steering pump,tried new hicas rack. Tried using a nisan scanner to diagnose the hicas light. Nothing... Then i found a post about putting a S2 hicas ecu in. Thought it couldnt be that easy. Bought one for $30 and plugged it in. BAM!!!!! WORKS PERFECT!!!!! Ive been suffering with no power steering once the car is restarted for 2 years and now its perfect. I feel like crying lol :,)

After a cheap R33 S2 Hicas ecu (from the boot) I hear it will solve my hicas heat failure putting it in a S1.

Thanks for your trouble shooting solutions. Yes, on real hot days is does cut out after driving for a while. When this happens I usually turn the sub volume to 0, or turn music off all together. The video was done the next day, and it still behaves the same way at night. I have unplugged the L/R cables and the sub still behaves the same even without signal from the cd player. Fuses are fine, even replaced the battery (needed a new one anyway) HA! The isn't much else for the frog to eat I didn't have a din pocket and the car had factory double din when i bought it, so it looks a bit shit
