Has this sold? I'm located in Newcastle and am looking for something with some balls (as this seems to have) for around about that sort of money, to replace my gutless (and falling apart) 80's Rolla. thanks Matt

what did you do with the car once you got it back? i think i'd almost be more sad to get it back all bent out of shape, than to never see it again. and yeah, i would agree that you were pretty lucky on that one. unfortunately I've heard that if you don't get it back within about 48 hours then you're likely to not get it back ever.

least you still got yours... wishing i'd come home to find mine unsuccessfully broken into. at least then i could've done something about it. much better situation than an empty car port!

Nah, no news. and I don't expect that there will be either. I'm pretty much putting this car to rest, RIP my beautiful zed... if it appears again and I somehow get it back, that's called a bonus, but i've got about the same odds of winning the lottery

yeah it couldn't have been a more sucky situation eh... guess i'm just about over it now, it's at the point where i've pretty much given up... life goes on... and shit as it can be sometimes, it goes on

yeah, is a nice car pretty bad story really... it didn't have a full security system, i thought it had the stock zed alarm but obviously not, a lot of the zeds came with alarm systems that were designed to go off if someone played around with the wiring or anything like that... unfortunately the 2 other 280's that ive owned have had this feature, and the nice one happened to not have it (i can only assume). problem with these older cars is the wiring can start to play up a bit, so i don't know if that accounted for anything... it's just all the bad variables thrown into one really... wouldn't wish it onto anyone

oh, brycey posted it in here too oops... i posted in the general section... oh well gotta get the word out there i spose... I just talked to the president of the z club in sydney, he's going to alert all his members in case someone tries to flog it off or flog it for parts

well gee thanks guys, I post up this morning that my car has been stolen and I get not 1 response, and it's a NISSAN of all brands... f**k me dead how many cars do i need to have stolen from me before someone around here gives a f**k ok ok i'll settle down now... just think if any of you had your beautiful skyline taken from you, how pissed would you be... that's how i'm feelin...

oh by the way, feel free to post this in any other forums that you're a member of. The more that know about it the better, I don't want these creeps getting away with it. thanks guys and gals

This is my '83 280zx that I bought from Adelaide only a few months ago. And now I have to sell her :'( I have too many cars and, apart from being called "insane" by just about everyone, I need to sell this one to get one of my other cars rego'd, so off she goes. Very tidy car, nice paint, only a couple of tiny rust spots, car spent its whole life in dry areas (SA, Adelaide), paint is only about 8 years old. 180000km Auto 2+2 (4 seats) p/s, p/m, p/w, a/c need a re-gas blue interior Targa Roof (removable glass panels) 9 months rego new full 2 1/2" exhaust and radiator just put in It actually sits a tad lower than the photos show, I took those photos just after I put those wheels on it and the suspension hadn't settled yet. Engine runs well, pulls quite hard, has been well looked after for its life. Price: $4000 with rims, $3500 with stock (boring) rims. It will be sad to see her go, it's quite a smick car and black 280zx's are quite rare, so I want her to go to a good home. The 280zx's have been seen as more of an obscure zed, a majority of them are ending up rusting away in scrap yards, stripped apart to put in 240z's or 260z's, or are owned by people that just don't take care of them. Hi guys, I have for sale a completely rebuilt rb30 engine and 5 speed. It has professionally serviced head, new seals, gaskets, rings and bearings, new clutch, as well as 5 speed gearbox which is in good nick. Comes with all wiring and computers. Was for a project which has now been abandoned, would hook up great to a big turbo or useful to put an rb25/26 head on. Good for 300+ HP. Looking at $1650, but make me an offer and see if i'm crazy enough to accept. I'm in Newcastle, obviously pick up is preferred. PLUS, if you buy now you can receive absolutely free, an R31 skyline, red in colour, everything included (except front headlights and a couple of other bits and pieces. The engine has been removed, it is the one being sold above. the gearbox was sold, the one above is from a different car, but hooks up to the rb30). Am interested, I need an rb30 and will be rebuilding anyway, however is this the sort of problem that can be cured with a normal rebuild? i don't know enough about it, got a mate that does but he's not around at the moment... Matt
