  1. yes I might aswell pop in and get a feed it's on the way.
  2. Do we have to pay the photographer on the day?...
  3. haha mate i done the same thing, I bought slotted rotors all round three weeks ago which i left till today to fit along with qfm pads to find the fronts they sent me do not fit !!! oh well i got slotted rears
  4. yes they are the same in the sence its a editable ecu... but as far as i am aware power fc does not have a knock map, where once knock has been detect above limits it hits knock map and retards 4degrees of timing??? also yes power fc uses knock sensors, yes nistune uses knock sensors but what good is both protection if you have piston rattle that may / or may not have same frequency as what nissan engineers spent many many hours putting a "STOCK" motor into severve detonation to record the frequency??? it was just a point i mentioned, as many people buy power fc because it has a live "knock count" and spend 5X as nistune but as many tuners have said to me as soon as you change the slightest thing eg, exhaust your changing the motor and possibly the harmonics. another example people might have devoleped a knock count to find something loose in the engine bay to be the fault not detonation.
  5. I'm sure you could swap with a place like niswreck or just buy one then sell yours, and o2 sensors arn't the end of the world.... I got my nistune suplied and re-mapped for $750.. and i actually took out my power fc to do so... Power fc's are great but you must remember they are not calibrated for a forged motor... each forged motor that is hand built/ not as tight tollerences/ run in differently are essentially different motors have more or less piston rattle and can produce a different harmonic frequency. nistune have far better knock protection over powe fc, keep all factory settings, cops cant see it, amd a hell of a lot cheaper.... im a really big fan
  6. I just installed my plazmaman pro series kit, I know your asking for a vs greddy plenum but I had stock plenum with a greddy retun flow cooler. After the install I gained maybe 10rwkw, but added a shit load more response. As I'm running a gt3076 it was slighty laggy with old setup but now I've seen a 500rpm+ boost pick up. And +1 on the workmanship!!! Being the proseries kit I got also got the billet thottle body, and pre fab'd piping, I found it was easier relocating battery to the boot.. Maybe something you don't need to do with greddy??? And let's not forget plazmaman is very exy!!
  7. I also have never met anyone, but I'll be out in a white r34 2door with bronze rims. Preps are going good, my new plazmaman plenum and intercooler kit is fitted and got it tuned, very happy with the out come. Fitted the HEL brake lines tonight and bled the brakes. Will fit dba slotted rotors and QFM brakeds tomorrow or Saturday. New pirelli's fitted... Gotta get wheel allignment, the guy who does it for me is on holidays soo dunno what I'll do there but not the end of the world. Hiring a car trailer is annoying me as, in murray bridge the place that hires them shuts at 2pm on Sunday and opens Monday at 8:30am and shuts at 5pm so will probs have to hire it for 3days arrgghhh!!! Oh well will all be worth it...
  8. I just jizzed!!! Very good build.
  9. I've never had a email update for any threads i've started or posted in??... how do i set that up?
  10. i think you bought every1's dream car. good onya
  11. thats what they cost direct from HEL. i just bought a set for myself. so probly dont need to do a group buy.
  12. read the rules on selling before posting
  13. I can not run a stock bov as the after market plenum does away with the stock bov and the traction controll unit.
  14. Great job guys.
  15. Hahahahahahahaahahahahahahahah
  16. Nismoid - are you saying IF i run a BOV its needs to be plumbed back not atmos vented becuase its AFM and will calculate fuel for air that never gets there becuase its vented or you sayying i need one plumbed back full stop as im running a factory ecu?
  17. haha after i posted that i went on youtube, typed in "dose found a few.... then went "fully hectic VL dose bro" and found like a million hits I know its more commonly known with VL turbos? why is this? no BOV? no AFM? usually no pod? fully hectic owners?..
  18. I see my thread has created alot of controversy... My understanding (and could be right or wrong) they was designed for emmision purposes... but compressor surge is not something i would like to happen... If i dont run one will get the "DOSE" sound?? can anyone elebreate on "DOSE"? I must admit i am still undecided but will run without, and add in if needed.
  19. spotted SIR-032 followed him from sirdon>tapleys>brighton>until he turned off ocean blvd Very VERY nice clean 32GTR I was in the big white rodeo ute right behind wouldnt of taken much notice
  20. Was his name Jarrod by any chance sounds like I guy I know??... I said to him if you ever need a hand with info ask me or sign up to SAU.... Decided to stalk instead haha
  21. +1 on that one
  22. thanks for all replies, no used to have GTR i now have R34 RB25det neo. with brand new gt3076 on 18psi, nisstune ecu with AFM my plan is to install the new FMIC, forward facing plenum, throttle body and piping, i will get all the fittings welded to the pipe but not run a BOV. i will test it and see how i like it and if i need it i will quickly be able to connect the BOV, plan is to connect it in just after the FMIC behind front bumper and vent it to atmos, hopefully no one will see it down there.... there are a few pro's of not running one i can see, cant get defected and cost. con's to much dispute between them, I mean i asked my mech/tuner and he said doesnt matter which way you go wont hurt the car ( by this i guess you gotta keep in mind its a heavily modified car its like sayying you 1000hp drag cars motor wont last as long as yur holden astra's motor) my concern is throttle on, then off the throttle (say pulling up to stop lights) and it stalls.
  23. personally i would rather a semi slick with less tread then a cheaper asian tyre. but thats me. how they would last depends on your driving but on that note like drift days they have dudes swapping tyres is anyone one coming out bringing that sort of set up?
  24. Stupid thing has double posted everything for me today. I've never used them is neuton like a mid range tyre for street applications?
