I have changed to RB20 afms.
They plug straight into the standard connectors:D No wiring needed:D
They gave better control over fuel so after installing them the mixture was able to be tuned more accurately.
Does anyone know if you can let the stock gtr valves breathe straight to atmo?
I upgraded my cooler & therefore couldn't put the recirc piping back in so I changed the valve. Still got the stockies so I would put them back in if I could get away with it.
The 255 value is the 'learning value' isnt it?
Not quite sure what it corresponds to so I think it is more of an arbitrary value than anything else. I can tell when mine is learning cos you can see this value changing & then it stays put once it has learnt.
Gotta sell the stocker to make way for a bigger unit.

Can't believe no-ones interested - I thought I had a dud afm at one stage when I had some car probs & do you think I could find a spare afm? I would have paid $250 for one...you'll all come running when something goes wrong, that's for sure:uh-huh:
Dont need the standard afm's anymore so I am selling them off to pay for more mods:)
$250 for the pair.

Good advice Troy - worked for me as well:D
But from what I hear its not bad - so you will be back on the street soon enough.
Good luck & let me know if you need some help with your sore chest...
Andrew - the hks dumps fit in the same so everything will bolt back together as normal.
My suggestion would be to wait till you do the turbos - would be a painful job otherwise & to be honest I don't think the gains would warrant the effort.
Gonna ditch the hicas soon thanks to a few scares at speed with the hicas wanting to control the car instead of me...
Does anyone know a trick to stop the hicas light on the dash from illuminating once its removed, such as connecting a wire between some of the terminals that go to the hicas computer?
