  1. Another beer anyone?
  2. Right - almost done... What this is telling me is that I should have gone to an NGK 8 (or stayed with a 7).
  3. Fair enough macka - I think i recall another post after that ordering him to slow down. Anyway - who cares...
  4. This plug talk is doing my head in... So if I reduce the gap I should use a hotter plug to keep the actual spark the same? Why do people go colder in most higher boost applications?
  5. Thanks Ken - I had heard about the spark being 'blown' out. Good work macka - blamed the wrong bloke...you are a tool (7/16 combination ring spanner if I recall):bahaha:
  6. macka - people need to be sold not told...just be gentle that's all i'm saying
  7. I think he was annoyed with how you addressed his indescretions...a little more tact would have been appropriate
  8. How does it work then - i was told to gap them to 0.7 which quite small. Does this mean i will get a hotter, more intense spark? What is the normal school of thought when you increase boost?
  9. You're right ken - i might go get a set of resistor ones before i put the car back on the dyno - then i can compare them to see if there is a difference whilst the car is on the rollers:uh-huh:
  10. Beer anyone? Just off to get anothery...
  11. Mr Ince isn't one of your students tomorrow is he?
  12. Must be why Steve said not to go for them. having said that, it seems to be against the norm but I trust his experience. Plus for the $17.50 they cost, who cares if I need to change them for the others. BTW - he put me onto 6's, not 7's as most other people use...
  13. Just a gut feeling there ken or what:bahaha: I should tell Neo about it cos he would be happy to film you towing one out of the sand:p
  14. I'll pray for rain then ken, cos i need to build my wet weather confidence. Plus it will give me a HUGE advantage over the others:bahaha:
  15. You want me to bring mine out ken so you can show em how quick a car should be:D Macka - definately talking about plugs, check out this link: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/techinfo/spar...1200&country=US
  16. Good advice ken. Once i can see a proper power graph from the dyno i will adjust my driving habits accordingly - no point revving past peak power output
  17. Should be interesting if it rains next weekend ken. Would you still run the day if it is wet?
  18. That should be bloody good fun Ken. What time is it cos I got nothing on in the morning so I might come out & watch. Behave yourself Clinton...you are not really in a position to throw stones
  19. See ya Joe I will talk to steve again next week about it. I checked the NGK website earlier & it said the same thing about a car with an ecu needing the resistor type (4ohm btw macka). Said something about issues with idle, etc, etc. Funnily enough there seems to be a miss at idle, but I took the car out for a lap between showers & it does seem to go better with the new plugs. Also noticed that the rev limiter on the mines ecu is set somewhere between 8500-8800rpm. Strange thing is I never noticed that before cos I was sure that it was cutting in at 8200 as per the stock ecu that I had:confused:
  20. No chance buddy - why do you think I got a 4wd skyline? I already proved that I cant drive a 2wd one:rolleyes:
  21. Nice one macka - wait till pwptf sees that one. You should change it for the stubby pic:D
  22. Ken - you walked in just at the right time... What is the diff between resistor & non-resistor plugs? Steve told me not to get the resistor ones because they wont be as good. Most people seem to be using resistor plugs though:confused:
  23. Hey Ken & Macka. Fatboy - what are you up to? Home alone?
  24. At the very least I will beat my last effort - 14.3:bahaha:
  25. Put in the plugs as recommended by steve @ sst. Hope to break 300rwhp now:D
