Oh Bully, you poor misguided fool:bahaha:
Think you're onto something with the tiptronic thing, but i would suggest that the most effective setup would be halfway between, i.e. semi-automatic a la F1.
Dont wanna sound like a know-all, smart-arse or arrogant prick, etc, etc, but...
I believe that the answer to this debate lies in the fact that GTR's ONLY come in manual form
Yeah Niz, unfortunately there are additional power losses within the auto trans that you don't have in a manual.
Because of the speed that autos change & the fact that they change without you having to lift off the go pedal this can sometimes give them an advantage - depends on the driver.
Paul, the more I think about it the more I reckon you SHOULD be paying for it...
Why? Cos if you're car wasn't in the carport I would never have parked my car in the bloody sun...
Just joking:)
You little beauty:uh-huh: I got one email from ya so I just need you tell me what it's worth to ya. I gotta go pick up a gasket from Northside Nissan in the morning so I can ask what they are worth new - I will make sure I am sitting down for it though:p
Mate dont worry about it - I'm not...oh, & lets not talk about your chassis rail:rolleyes:
Ken - I think Paul was quite surprised with the old R today after having been for a ride when it was in slug mode:D
Ken, that would be f'ing marvellous, cos I think we both know that it's not gonna be a cheap exercise if I have to buy a new one.
If you can let me know if you got it & how much please - I wanna get it back on the road asap cos I am so enjoying the car atm
Nothing hit it - Paul & I were only about 5 metres away from the car at the time & no one else was anywhere in sight.
Here goes some more cash that could have been used for mods:(
Hey guys...
Listen to what happened to my car today: was sitting on the driveway cos Paul & I were changing his oil so his car was in my carport. Heard a "POP" like someone had popped a balloon & my alarm went off. Went to checkl my car & the back window was completely shattered!!! Somehow the heat must have caused it to distort enough to break.
Un f*&kin' believeable...
you doing the manifold today ken?
i wish i knew cos i would like to have seen how it comes apart for myself...spose it would be much harder with someone standing there asking 10000 questions:)
I am trying to confirm whether there are any issues related to cutting the speed sensor wire to the ecu on an R32 GTR.
Some poeple think that it is OK to do, but others suggest that it can affect the hicas and/or 4wd system.
Somebody must know for sure. I need to get rid of it because I can't do a proper power run on the dyno without the speed limiter cutting in before the car hit's the rev limiter - I can only get up to around 7000rpm & the curve is still increasing. I've got another 1000rpm to use up:(
