yeh i know i cant and ive come to realise thats gonna be another one of my problems and im gonna go to a wreckers and get a new fuel tank and pump i was gonna tackle that after fixing this dash problem? but since i cant find an immediate solution i might do the fuel tank/pump first. cheers.

hey guys i got a 95? r33 gts-t that had been sitting around for about 4 years, got it off a mate that cud not be bothered with it so i decided to see if i can get it started and sell it to someone that will want a 69,000km skyline =), anyway ive got it cranking but.... it cranks and dosent start, i had to get a new immobilser for it as it had one but no remote, its an autowatch one and i merely got an updated version, it plugged into the old sockets just like the last cept i can turn it off and actually attempt to start the engine, with the last immobiliser when turning it to 'on' it would have all the lights come up (pre-start lights) since ive put the new one in when i turn it to 'on' nothing comes up its just merely blank, i turn the imobiliser off and everything and the car will crank as it attempts to start, usual problems for not having power there is some interior fuses which i all replaced and volt tested, i stole the big battery from my rents xr6 so its got plenty of power going to it, thing is it just wont start the only other option i have is that the ignition switch is faulty which it might be... im just wondering has anyone else had this sort of problem? cause apparently the ignition switch is the one that gives the fuel pump power so it can put fuel thru cause at the moment i replaced the filter and everything and no petrol comes out? correct me if im wrong i know alot about cars but im not a mechanic by trade so some help here wud be sweet thanks!

tru i cud do that dan cept i have italian parents and they are not fond of cars like these they said they want nothing to do with it, that means in their name, insurance, wateva.... its a massive struggle haha

i guess ill just sell these two cars then buy a supra and be done with it for a long while haha

but what about my situation.. am i gonna be held liable under that act or? like i said before buy the cars bung up fix em to teach myself and i sell them after so i can buy another stuffed up one, sometimes i make only a slight profit but most of the time the parts it needs sorta evens out the buying price. cant i just make a small business out of it so i dont get chased by the government? haha

thanks for the info ill deffs take this in, looks like ill have to hold onto them for a bit longer haha cheers. im not sellin for profit but i just got heaps of cars right now, i buy them bung up to force myself to learn to fix them =D so then i gain more knowledge of cars out of force, but im sorta over it, just want a supra and thats it haha

ure pretty right snozzle that is me, i just want to find the car like skylines were fun and always my dream car the two door but when my mates come with they are like f**k man we cant fit in this thing so i bought the 4 door so i have them two now but what im realising is i want a supra now and i cudnt give a shit about space cause im just like omgggg sexyyyyy haha

well ive got two both r33's 1 is 1993 gun metal grey standard mods with a bit extra resprayed interior manual turbo only done 106,000kms just gotta do a bit more work to it, the other one is another r33 but i duno what it wud be series 2? but its a 4 door and the taillights are not the same as the normal gts-t's its only done 68,000kms genuine... haha auto, turbo, pretty stock, just its been sitting around for a while just gotta do change the oil and all that sorta stuff to get it running again. in a few weeks ill probs sell the 4 door, im wondering how much i cud get for either one cause like... i actually want a supra now

hey boys nd gals i got a question how many cars are you allowed to sell as a normal person that isnt a part of a business? cause ive bought alot of cars and fixed them all up and i was gonna sell them but apparently my uncle said u can only sell like 3 cars a year by the government if ure just a private owner is this tru??? cheers.

thanks for the current suggestions, dont get me wrong martin if i could do it myself i would but like to spray a whole front bumper i duno if i could do that, ive done the interior before no probs but im thinkin a whole front bumper, bit out of my leauge, i could but like if u give me some steps maybe i cud have a go at this.. pm me? cheers

hey i went to wangara PDS spraypainting to get a quote on how much to spray my front bumper which is a m series front and has like nothing on it as ive cut all the middle part out and trimmed the sides you could nearly spray the whole thing in one huge swing of the arm! anywho.. he said $350 for the job and he said since its an old car we will have to blend it into the guards too to make it look better etc.. quoted $100 a guard so the whole job $550 rather than just saying yes as i usually do i thought there must be better places.. altho i dont know cause ive never had to get anything sprayed on any of my cars before, so can someone suggest a cheaper place etc? would be much appreciated.

thanks again for more inputs, to the guy that said it would be my driving... i dont think so.. ive been driving a while now and havent even had a close call. its cause this was one large dip then it flattens out straight away, should have known this was going to happen i dont even think the bumper was barely 70mm off the ground.. anyway i went and bought a S1 standard m spec one currently trimming it to my likeing, and ill get it re-sprayed. ill go have a look now at some jap rims see how i go, thanks again

thanks again for your inputs i was thinking about fixin it myself mate but you shud see the damage.. its beyond me and to be honest if anyone wants that bumper they can have it just went to the local wreckers and got a new r33 series 1 bumper the m series one, but rather than having it like i did last time im cutting it to perfection to suit my likeing, he gave it to me for 275 and it was in good nick, the fact is im gonna have to get it resprayed anyway to gun metal grey the colour that would match the car.. how much that is gonna cost i dont know i hope it isnt too much, if anyone knows where some specials are of rims/wheels at the moment in PERTH then let me know ill probs go shopping for some tommorow, cheers.

yeh mate i do want the car to look low but no matter how slow i went the whole thing nearly blew up under the car wats the point of having it that low that i cant get over things? id be just wasting money replacing the bumper all the time, ok... so if not bob jane t-marts where wud u suggest? i dont want to spend heaps.. most mates of mine go for around 1600 i just want to change the shit things that are on it at the moment to some decent metal ones dont really care about a flash design so id want to spend around 900-1300 max sorta thing, but i am one of those people where if i had to spend more i would but i wud rather not on this..

oh ok thanks for all the help guys, it was terrible that front bumper sat so low i was pulling out of this peak petrol station going down a hill and at the bottom BANG the whole front ripped off and nearly went under the car, i threw it over a fence and came back with a mate to pick it up now i have to get a new one, i love the look of it but im guessing i cant get similar without it having the same low effect? any suggestions? alright ill go have a look at bob jane t-marts and mr mags and see if i like somethin else besides 34 gtt

hey bought a new skyline today like the look of it just had the fact its got stock rims, what im asking is, is it possible to just buy the rims u want and have the current tyres moved over or is it cheaper to just buy the tyres and rims outright... was after some black ones xD preferable 34 GTT if someone has any... also the front bumper on the car hangs much lower than it, its a 1993 r33 unsure of what series it is but at the back it says its a gts25t whatever the hell that means, so dont know the series of the car or the series of the bumper i have a photo of the bumper if it helps. also if someone could help duno what colour the car is.. grey, mettalic grey? gun metal grey? cheers

hey how you going just a quick question if someone can help me im replacing two whole doors on a r33 4 door 1996 skyline and so i was just wondering where is the best place to get these ideally i always look to japenese wholesale parts in wangara where i got a quote 440 without glass and 550 with, is there any other place that cud possibly be cheaper? my dad said coventry motors back in the day he worked there... (1968) =S anyway... any other places?! i am in one huge dilema so the quicker i can hear back from someone the better! thankyou!

hey mate yeh replaced mine not too long ago, i got a r33 gts-t also went to autopro in edgewater, just opposite bunnings (if you dont live close by here go to any autopro im sure they are all linked), talk to the performance guy (Nathan) he will use the book and order a o2 sensor in for you that matches ure skyline, it cost about $120 but he gave it to me for like $100, when it comes to advice this site dosent like people like him, but when it comes to parts he can help u out well. goodluck

hi got a r33 gts-t series 1 1993 i replaced an o2 sensor from just below on the right of the blow off valve, was just wondering is there more than 1 o2 sensor in the car? cause this guy said most cars have two, i replaced it and the car quit running so rich and is great but still... seems a bit too much of a smell to be running properly. or maybe its just me... so yeh is there more than 1!?!?!? and if so where is it located im guessing under the car... sigh... shud probs get the software for my box soon... as im thinking this problem entails around that... please help!

in reply to some of your other comments, when i flushed the coolant out i could fit about 4.5 litres in before no more would go, then i put the rest in my sub tank. i have not 'bled' the air out of the engine whatever the hell that means, i have no car mechanic experience. and thanks for just letting me know the average temp and stuff, just put me much at ease, just understand when i over reacted it was outta frustration and confusion, i now have been told by you's the average temp etc you have put me at ease. thanks for the suggestions if anything its that the water pump dosent work anymore cause it cant be the other two, ive checked that. why u guys no like the auto one guy? out of more info for me how do usually head gaskets break besides the car being thrashed?

cmon theres gotta be other solutions to this? blocked thermostat? blocked radiator? malfunctioning fan? failed water pump? i dont wanna be driving one day and my car just go's KA-BOOM wanna fix this.
