oh boy... see this is what i mean thats what i feel is going to happen... guy at auto one said the cars been stationary too long and the head gasket has continued to seep out so he rekons the head gasket is going to blow soon regardless of what i do cause its on is way out, ahhh well guess i better just brace myself, but cmon mate cant do anything about it? gotta be something i can do... and ten four its the water temp not the oil pressure 100% sure, gers where did u hear it etc what happened?

alright man ill take ure word for it, im not a car enthusiast this is the first performance car ive owned and yeh.. just thought that was hell weird it being that hot for going under a kilometre, sorry if it seemed like a dumb question, thanks for that boys! this means i dont have to spend anymore money woohoo!!! have a great skyline now =)

I duno... the temp gauge reads like probably if 10 was HOT HOT like blow engine stage on the gauge its at about 2/10 maybe 3... which is normal but i just like hell dont trust the gauge... why cant i have what ten four has!, im worried the gauge dosent work altho it moves and as such..

heyyy hows it goin i got a r33 gts-t 93' model skyline, i have replaced nearly everything in this car cause i got it off a bloke that had it and it was sitting around doing nothing... why do i tell you this? figured u might wanna know the history when i say everything in the car is perfect! except the cooling system... just the other day i flushed the coolant out (man smelt like it hadnt been replaced in years) and put fresh coolant in, then filled the sub tank aswell to max, however, i took the car for a drive up the road and back around the block, driving it casually and not thrashing it at all, and yet when i stop and pop up the bonnet the engine is so bloody hot i cant touch anything, not even the pod! even the bay is hot... just... EVERYTHING!! and im like what the hell cause i just refilled the coolant with fresh stuff why the hell is it doing this... there are no coolant leaks or anything, no signs outta the exhaust of any smoke.. nothing.. all working proper its just the engine just nearly blows and feels like its gone 300kms when its only gone about 1.... i went to the guy at auto one and he was like maybe your thermostat is not working properly i also saw elsewhere that maybe the pressure on the radiator cap is loose and all but it isnt.. fits properly, also both hoses are hot, there are no blockages either in the hoses as i cleaned it out and stuck a water hose thru it and it was all coming out well. and when i stick my finger in the coolant after, it is warm so yes it is circulating thru but i duno.. do u need hell pro quality coolant for performance cars? cause the coolant i put in was rather cheapo i guess... argh.. im gonna stop talking.. SOMEONE HELP ME! thank you =)

okay... this is promising... ok so performance place what we talkin like...? the car probs is better i just duno what im talkin about.. haha id prefer like one of you blokes to have a look id feel that performance blokes wud be trying to say its stuffed just to make me pay em money and crap like dat unlike u blokes u dont need anything... i duno i guess ill go see one just give me a good place nd ill go.

cheers for a little more advice i guess i will go to a performance place for some advice to answer some of your questions it dosent have a stock ECU unit its had a new monza fitted one... i duno how good that brand is... and yeh i do get a bit of backfire sometimes and the car has stalled occasionally when ive been driving it but not really often just rarely. the boost is run really really high... on my boost gauge it usually is at 15 sometimes.. 20... i duno this is all just figures to me.. i think the fuel lines have been pressured to release maximum? this is just a few things coming from my home mechanic. duno if its right?

kay well been talkin to a few mates and ive come to the conclusion that ill probs have to get a stock r33 bov as the guy that sold it to me didnt give me any original parts. the turbo already makes heaps of seperate flutter so i dont see why i shud keep my atmo bov that just makes a second noise to it.. anyone that could hook me up with a stock one? cheers.

oh cheeers well i guess the cars all good then, what if i paint the wire black? ;D i dont know if its an atmo one or not... is there some way u can find out or tell? hmm thats the thing i bought the car as it is i dont have anything original... altho its a massively stock car... well its passed the pits twice! i had to do it twice cause of an area code or something... cant be a certain distance away from the closest licensing place blablabla

cheers for both your inputs im not sure what u mean by atmo? and yeh the pod isnt secured i shud probs get onto that.. i duno how im gonna secure it but its like one massive pipe so how the hell am i gonna secure it i cant like drill a screw through it haha ive got these two photo's that my mate took when he was over u cant see the filter in it but dont worry about that its the blow off im concerned about sticks out like white in black... hope the pics load up ive never done this before =S its the first thing you see when u pop the bonnet that bloody red wire!!

i just bought this skyline i live in W.A of course.. im concerned about whats in the engine bay as i am not a car enthusiast i just got a skyline because i love the look but then to soon find out how fast they were... basically it has a pod filter and a blow-off valve, might i say after driving it a few times now.. a VERY LOUD blow off valve... this only came to my attention when my personal mechanic came over and said get rid of them. should i replace both of them or should i not be concerned? as they are 'illegal'
