Hey guys long time lurker, first time posting. Basically I'm chasing a guide/info regarding transplanting an sr20det into an r31 pintara. I have searched high and low and found a topic here that apparently had a guide written by r31 guru Fatz explains the basics on how it's done. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/60804-r31-engine-sr20det-conversion/ DOES ANYONE HAVE IT? Could you please link me to it or upload it for me? I am planning on undertaking this shortly and would like to be as prepared as possible. I do realise it is fairly straight forward as far as conversions go, I realise you can use the ca20 crossmember I also know FATZ and others have used a modified s13 member in order to mount the engine as far back as possible. Which makes for better weight distribution and will hopefully mean I can use the s13 tail shaft from the 5 speed without needing a custom one.

very true.. im beginning to realise that realistically a gtr is out of my price range and i think i might wait til later in life to own one. not just the initial cost, but if the turbos or the engine go, im looking at a 5 figure sum... which i can maybe afford, but it would mean really stretching it which i think is a bit of a silly thing to do. my search continues, yet for a wrx i think

hey, i live in queensland and am looking at purchasing a '93 r32 gtr located in ACT, was after any ideas on who/where would be a good place to get it inspected? as this will be done over the phone etc i really am looking for a trustworthy mechanic with expertise in GTR's then of course i will fly down to inspect myself and prob purchase i hope --have looked at trojan motorsport website, they look pretty good, been in same place since 2000 i see that as a pretty good sign for a performance garage.

hey im a mid twenties electrician living on the southside of brisbane, i joined these forums hoping to find some more info and possibly a seller of a VERY NEAT AND TIDY r32 GT-R.. as im sure you're all aware they are close to non existant.. i want one that hasnt been tracked, hasnt been in a major accident, has a RWC, hasnt been completely molested. lol i would like to spend around 25 grand... sub 100,000kms on the engine AND chassis too. ive been searching for over a year now and still havnt been able to get one that meets my fussy needs, so much so that i am almost at the point of giving up and maybe just spending like 15-20 grand on a '99-'00 wrx in close to stock form. im not interested in one that has 300kw, i would much rather a bulletproof 206kw~. anyway ive rambled enough, thanks and i hope i find what im looking for soon
