Ok, so i have an r33 gtst series2, it's got a stock ECU and it usually runs like a dream, however today it was idling at 1,700 rpm and when i was slowing down and the revs got low enough it would literally accelerate forwards by itself. Also when i put the clutch in while rolling it would go down to 1000 rpm, rev up to 2000 rpm by itself, drop down and nearly stall, and continue doing that until i was stationary. The weird thing is though, i floored it in 2nd and red-lined it, and after that it was perfectly fine... What an earth could have caused this? Even though it's fixed itself now, should i be worried? If it was the ECU playing up it won't matter too much as i'm putting a PFC in it next weekend... Still a bit daunting that it did that, then fixed itself with a thrashing :S

Selling my white 1996 R33 GTS-T Series 2 Manual Coupe. Reason for selling it is plain and simple, im sick of looking over my back all the time about cops, i'd rather the no stress of a boring car.. The car itself runs beautifully, i've only had it a little while so haven't driven it much. Car is 121,000kms on the clock, and will be getting a service next time i drive it. Theres a few scratchs on the body kit that were there when I got it, but nothing major. full 3" exhaust going to blitz cannon New clutch - heavy duty cushion button 17" AVS rims Apexi aftermarket suspension GTR body kit aftermarket reverse parking sensors turbo timer front and rear strut braces viper alarm system Will also throw in some standard 16" wheels, stock muffler and front pipe, a pod filter and a Nardi steering wheel. Rego was just replaced, another 11 months on it!!!! Will come with a RWC as well. Looking for $11,500 but can negotiate. Im in the easter suburbs and all inspections are welcome after 5 weekdays, anytime weekends. Andrew 0409048442

is the r34 gt-t air box the same size as the r33 gts-t air box? only really after the bottom part.. Also, dont suppose the cooling pro FMIC is the return flow style with the piping is it? -
Bump guys.. Even if you only have the bottom part i will take that i have my own snorkel and lid. Cheers.

not much less then that. I got it for 200 n barely used it.. prolly 170.. -
Hmm, i guess i'll see how it behaves after putting in my turbotech MBC.. If it's not playing nice, off to just jap i go to get the cooler that uses stock piping holes. Screw going back to the piping going through the body work, sooo much pain getting that fixed at christmas before an EPA tester deadline... Damn you pettett! It was a canery too so after my last week of work when i couldnt get it fixed i wasnt allowed to drive it anywhere >.<

cheers for the reply you guys! greatly appreciated! Guess that'll save me a bit of money then, not needing a front mount. Although yes FMICs look good, and my front bar looks a bit lonely since i took the other one out I have a full 3" exhaust, no idea what the dump is like though.. I'll be boosting it to 10-11 psi soon and with a tune from Dr.Drift hopefully i'll get between 180-190rwkw, that will suffice for now, until the mod bug overcomes my allergy to spending bucketloads of money lol..

Hey mate I'm in Lilydale which is in the eastern suburbs. I can meet you half way if you need. -
Hey guys, Sorry to be a pain but i've looked using the search option and can't really find a definite answer... I was thinking of installing a r33 gtr fmic onto my r33 gts-t, but im just wondering if they bolt straight on and the piping goes through the same holes? I used to have a fmic with the pipes going through the bodywork and cops told me to plug the hole up so i'm definately trying to avoid cutting holes. Also when i got a SMIC to send it to the EPA tester i put on an r34 smic. I'm not planning on changing the turbo anytime soon and was thinking, is it even worth spending extra money on a bigger intercooler when the r34 smic is apparently good for flow up to 220rwkw? Will a bigger intercooler even give me much more power? Cheers...

Qustion On High Boost Mode On Rb25det
andy panda replied to ryan101's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i would say it'd still chew the fuel reguardless of the amount of boost ur running, either way you're put is still down. if you want to save fuel just dont drive it hard. no point spending extra money on a dual stage boost controller if all you want it for is fuel economy on the lower boost setting.. my 0.02c neways -
well thats a bit gay then lol guess its time to get a better rear muffler then, the nur spec 1 was too loud for my liking anyways..

Shell V-power Vs Bp Ultimate...
andy panda replied to xanavinismo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i've heard from somewhere shell v-power can go off sitting in the underground tanks which make it unrealiable to use, although if you think about it whats to say the others cant do that.. Could always try and find a United that has 100 octane fuel. I've only come across 1 place since i've had my skyline.
