So I bled my coolant and it brought the temp down a bit but still not back to what it was, hmmm... Whining is still there but not as loud. Any ideas?

Hmm, how on earth do you do that :S I know a bit about cars but not that nitty gritty kinda stuff

So, I replaced my exhaust manifold gasket, and both turbo gaskets due to some leaking, and after I've bolted it all up and that yea it's running better but now the oil temp is going up 15c more than it used to. Was I meant to bleed anything on the turbo before I drove it again or something? I replaced the coolant when I put shit back together so it's got enough coolant.. There's also a new whining sound in the engine bay that I can't pinpoint, whether that's part of the problem or not I don't know... Any advice on this would be good. Also I went to unplug to ecu so I could reset it and noticed 1 of the wires were frayed... *gulp*

Yar it was gray. I do have a white r33 but no it's not me, I was only in eltham for work. Also spotted a clean white r34 four door with sau stickers on russel street (I think) in the city

R35 in eltham with the number plates "GTR" on it. Was one of the newer ones, looked amazing. I wonder what the plates cost...

You're allowed 1 intake mod, so a fmic kit you can have as long as you're air filter, bov, intake pipe are all standard, last I checked anyway...

I think I paid about 500 for the vacc cert which included the welding, but it was about 2 years ago do I've forgotten now. Happened 4 weeks after buying the car too -.- I went to a r34 smic when that happened but eventually swapped to the return flow.

I bought one with a setup like that and I got f**ked over. Id suggest if you bought it swap the fmic for a return flow one straight away and get the hole covered up. The standard smic gets heat soaked pretty bad. I got my hole properly welded up by a guy in the city for like 500 but that came with the required vacc cert with it, I imagine getting it covered up just so cops won't see won't cost as much. I got a return flow fmic from jj for I think 450, sell the fmic on it ATM for a few hunj.. U might be better off finding one that doesn't have the hole but depends on the rest of the cars condition I guess. My 0.02c anyways

Oh good idea cheers! Chris from Racepace said I have a leaking mani-head gasket too though.. I don't know if the gasket itself is stuffed or if it's just the missing bolt that's causing the leak. Thanks you though I'll look tao up!

Sorry to bring up an old post, but does anybody know where to get a Mani-turbo besides off Internet websites? I hate dealing with that shite.. Like a mechanic in melb that would have some spare that I could buy one off? I figure Racepace is usually mostly gtr stuff

I was talking to OTR in Clayton and there were saying they can get a little bumpy if you're using it on the road alot. Although if you're like me and like the feel of a stiffer ride to give you that "sporty" feel I'd definitely go for them. If I could afford it I'd go buy them. Tein's are supposed to be softer but are more expensive new. Just depends on what you're after I guess

Has anybody got an r33 gtr plastic indicator surround from the front bar lying around that I can come and just have a look at to see if it'll fit into the gap of where my indicators sit on my bar? I'd hate to go but some just to fit out they're not even close... Im in the Easter burbs of Melbourne. If any1 could help me out that'd be awesome!

I do but it's the return flow pipes to standard so they'd be set up differently to yours. My hot side connector only just shows thru the main gap. I'll try and take photos tonight

Kind of an EOI ATM as I don't have pictures for the stuff I'd like to try and trade for the stuff I'm after, but anyway.. - White r33 gtst series 2 front bar. Doesn't have to be perfect, just no cracks or breaks - r32 gtst 10 psi actuator (they bolt straight onto an r33 turbo yea?) - adjustable exhaust cam gear - apexi SAFC 1 or 2, or another kind of piggy back ecu. If anybody has any of these to buy that'd be great. OR, keen to trade for the following items I have + cash if needed. - r33 gtst s1 front seats - 18" Volk f-zero challenge wheels ( 18x9 +48 and 18x10 +45 in white with silver polished lip and blue inside. Fair bit of rashs but no buckles) - white gtr style front bar for r33 gtst ( fair few scratches but no cracks or breaks) Super dooper keen for a straight swap of a front bar for front bar if anybody is interested.
