  13. Cheapset C210 going on Yahoo Cars atm Import Monster ~$10,000 complied, just don't like how it's got aftermarket stuff on it. Most Expensive C210 going on Yahoo Cars atm Importmonster ~$25,000 complied, looks so stock and unmolested.
  14. i don't believe that the L20ET makes less power than my car, that's pretty bad. I bet some japs feel ripped off when they read that. Why do you prefer not to have power steering / aircon on a C210. I don't mind the manual steering, only get annoying when car is fully laden and trying to do carpark manouvres. I'd like a/c for the summer, related: Do 240K compressor and cabin unit fit in a AUS spec C210?

As i understand there were 2 GT-EX's C210 from 1978 then C211 with "modernised" front, rear and interior from 1980. both had L20ET's and were the highest factory spec of C210/211, if you will, the GTR of C210's. I'd like one of the later series with all the electrics and fuel injection. As ive written before my car doesn't have p/s,a/c, electric mirrors/windows. I don't want to retrofit the above into my AUS export version cause i see it as too much work, whereas bringing one from japan will have everything as factory worn out yes but everything is there. Are you suggesting to buy GT-EX parts and add them to my car?

  19. i know someone who got done doing 90 in a 70 zone with a handheld and they showed him the speed on the display when they waved him down.

  22. I love C210's so if I'm going to import something that's going to be it but that's a long way off if ever. saying that, i also like C110's and one of them would be cool as well. My biggest worry with importing one of them is the condition it is over there, i can't get there so i can't check and just have to take their word for it. and also getting it through the pits and registered/complied here would be an expensive headf**k. Why do you refer to JDM C110's as 240K's? 240K was the export name for the C110 for AUS and Britain.
  23. He's an apprentice and hasn't worked on L series before. The gregorys manual and L24 service manual I had on the day were very vague on the details. I have since found the info i am looking for. Thanks for help
  24. Mech couldn't work out how to adjust the valve clearances, is it just one nut you undo and then move the rocker then tighten? Service done as above but without long life engine treatment, no gearbox or diff work and used 20/60 penrite oil. Pinion bearings are shot in my diff as well, i have spare diff to swap in (R180). On the half shaft bolts do i use a socket on the diff side and a ring spanner on the other? Tried with a mate with open ended and ring spanners and was slipping and wouldn't move. Should I spray WD40 on it beforehand? thanks
