My friend is going to remove the Automatic transmission and the RB30E and try to free up the RB30. If we can't free it up then it's going to get thrown out and another block sourced. The RB30E appears to be siezed. Breaker bar with 1.5m pole on the crank wouldnt turn it over.. Previous owner thinks it might not be aligned on the input shaft properly and not allowing it to turn. Will try unbolt the engine and try again when i have an engine crane If this doesn't work, will try source a whole stock VL turbo setup and put it in with a VL 5sp manual. Bought oil, filter, timing belt and spark plugs then realized most of them came with the car anyway ... hahaa

Goal for Wednesday: Get the engine to start. to realise this goal, the following need to be done: Install starter motor Install extractors/exhaust manifold Install distributor Connect all engine looms plugs to appropriate places. Aftermarket Steering wheel. 17" rims Licenced. Can't see any other features atm. Car was originally L20ET + 5speed Manual. Whole body in primer - currently stripped out. Rust in bottom of doors Rust under chrome trim on bonnet. Series 1 front Bumper Series 1 Australian Taillights Suspected blown headgasket from previous dodgy turbo setup. more later. Plans: Remove and replace all visible rusted metal. Respray in Blue - thinking Bayside blue or kia rio blue <(google it) RB(something)DET /RB30ET engine + convert back to Manual. Reconnect power steering to RB pump Reconnect A/C to RB compressor New Passenger door lock (currently missing) Basic stereo install Possible Series 1 Headlight/Grille conversion.
