R34 Gtt To Gtr Conversion Body Kit
TR33GT-001 replied to TR33GT-001's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
http://www.rhdjapan....B25DET&x=20&y=8 You can obtain most of the costs from this web page. I favour the East Bear Masterpiece Collection kit. It's what's on my car. http://www.skylinesa...06062011346jpg/ A cheaper fibreglass wide body conversion, can be had here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R34-GTT-2Door-GTT-GTR-style-wide-bodykit-/260821721289 However, this kit is not FRP, nor is it the VSpec II Nur look alike. -

Budget: Purchase: $4000 Transport: $1800 Fitting & painting: $300 A much cheaper fibreglass kit, can be had from here, with the wide body option: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-R34-GTT-2Door-GTT-GTR-style-wide-bodykit-/260821721289 This is not the VSpec II Nur look alike though. Guys & Gals Is there anyone in Skylines Australia, that can point me towards the location of the R34 GTT to GTR East Bear Masterpiece Collection rear bar, in Australia. See following we web link: http://www.rhdjapan....line-gt-t-51707 I have fitted the side skirts, bonnet, front bar and lip, but I still haven't been able to obtain the rear bar, at a reasonable price. The best I can do from East Bear, RHD or Nengun, is in the order of $2000, just to get it hear from Japan. Can anyone provide this bar in Australia? Must be one laying around somewhere. (please please) Many thanks. Jim

Hey guys. Thought I'd start a thread on this for the hell of it. Mainly because some of the original brochures have colours, sizes, etc for owners to refer to. The first one is attached, for the R34 GTT. Regards. R34GTT-Brochure.pdf

R34 Gtt Traction Control Issues
TR33GT-001 replied to TR33GT-001's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
You guys must drive some crap GTT's is all I can say. LOL The TCS does NOT go off on an off the showroom floor GTT, unless you LOSE traction. I've owned and driven 5 now, and this is the first car that has the issue. I'm looking for someone who has the data and the knowledge within SAU. You out there? -
R34 Gtt Traction Control Issues
TR33GT-001 replied to TR33GT-001's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nope. I want it to remain as factory spec, and work exactly like it is supposed to. -
Hi guys. I've read a few topics on the TCS slip light coming on, in some GTT's, for what appears to be no good reason. I am now having a similar issue with my GTT. The "slip" light comes on when traction is not lost or in danger of being lost. Rather than turn the TCS off (and still have the TCS OFF light constantly on, on the dash, I'd like to fix the issue permanently, and operate as the factory intended. Do any of our members have any information on TCS systems diagrams, wiring diagrams and technical details of the TCS? Any help would be apopreciated. Many thanks. Jim (GTT340)

Guys, I don't quite know why there are posts here in relation to the PCV. As described earlier, the PCV has nothing to do with this installation. Please READ the installation guide.
-
Hi Clutch, The hoses need to be installed as per the diagram / plan. It is the only way that it will remain legal. The intension is to route the blow by piping into the catch can first, with the other connection to the catch can, connected to the PCV connection. Look at the diagram coloured in red. The install is still going strong. No problems at all, it's doing it's job. Hope this helped. Email me if you can't find the diagram. Jim (TR33GT)

I think we were lucky RUSH. Nice to see an importer work so hard at getting this right, as you said. TSI also added an additional 2 year warranty on the car, because they got this wrong.
-
Case close. The importer was very good. Installed a reconditioned unit, and it now runs like a dream. Many thanks to TSI !

I like the BC P1's better. They're on the R34, in black.

Ok guys, here is the information. Some imports with autotrans sit in the car yards in Jland for quite some time. My wifes car was one of them. Basically, moisture builds up in these transmissions when they just sit there, and over time, the quantity of moisture can be significant enough to cause clutch band damage. When the car arrives here, it may seem perfectly ok, for a test drive, or an inspection. The faults will start to occur when you start oputting the car to regular use. The first thing to pull off is the autotrans filter. If the filter is full of clutch material you have your answer, and it's a bad one. If the clutch band material found is not burnt, then you know the problem has only just started, but the issue will remain. If the clutch band material appears burnt, then you know the problem probably started in J. Don't let these statements deter you from buying. Just be more careful than me. We'll see what the importer has to say about a rebuild or a replacement autotrans, cause this is what is needed. TR33GT (Jim)

Thanks Lachlan. Our R34 Automatics specialist will be looking into it tomorrow. Will keep up a running forum on the diagnosis and outcomes, so that SAU members may use the thread should they ever need to. Regards TR33GT (Jim)

Hey SAU Members, Picked up my wifes GTT the other day. Nice car, and drove very well. We've owned quite a few R33's and R34's in our time, but the problem which confronts us is baffling. Got the car home, put it into reverse, to reverse in the garage, and behold.........wouldn't engage properly. It's like the engine is missing badly trying to give the car power, and failing. All other forward gears are perfection. Shut down to try and reset. Tried again, same problem. Almost like reverse is not quite engaging. Anyone out there in the SAU world who has experienced this before any thoughts or advise? Many thanks in advance. (failing advice, it's down to MV Automatics.......................again!) TR33GT (Jim)

Mad, The issue is still there unfortunately. The car has perfect Iridium plugs, which are practically new. I will go the extent of changing the coil packs, and see what happens. Thanks Jim
