  1. why not try talking to rob ward of rotorua import performance shop (rips) in nz. afaik he does 10.5sec passes all day every day on a stock rb30 bottom end with rb26 head in a gts 4. the skylines downunder site has some rips cars on it - at least one i've seen has the username 'bradyz', it's a purple gts4. as for the fitting issue the rb30 thread has it all...
  2. Hi Sneaker; I spoke to Trevor only a few weeks ago and he said that he had no performance figures for the comp style, only the short style so my dilemma is not the quality - his products are great - but that I couldn't get data on the comp style to see if they were worth the extra cost over the shorter type. Can you please tell me what advice he gave you re the improvement tests you mentioned? Regards
  3. Every day for two years. And liking it. Cheers
  4. White R33 GTR parked on the corner of Kings Hwy and Braidwood Rd at Bungendore. Nice to see the driver pulled over to talk on the phone.
  5. Hi Stocky; as for springs standard spring tension and set up at high boost the incoming air can slow the inlet valve returning to seat (for a millisecond of course) with catastrophic results. i don't believe the power the thing makes is a consideration as it's the boost pressure that interferes, not the power. re valve bounce above 1 bar, i'm not sure i understand how boost and valve bounce are related?
  6. LOL! Nice work. It is the beauty item that you think, as none.
  7. Guys; as the title says I'm after rears only, with discs. please email price and pics to [email protected].
  8. Hi RiGo; I've got four genuine 17x9 Sparco Pythons that were on my R32 GTR when I bought it. They have a few gutter scrapes but are in OK condition and easily repaired by a detailer. Also have 255/45/17 Falken tyres if that helps, about 50% tread. I'm in Canberra, if you're interested let me know your email and I can send photos. Not loking for huge $$$ Regards
  9. I'd reject it outta hand on the basis of the triple decker floor mats and that farking steering wheel cover.
  10. it was listed with a 'buy it now' price of 10m yen of Jap ebay. comes to about AUD 130
  11. Lindsay; no offence but you should probably add a kidney belt to the list. tein have a reputation - as do many jap susp kits - for being way too hard for Aust roads. i saw a set of teins tested on a shock dyno once and they were terrible. the search engine is your friend, there has been a lot of discussion on teins in the past. not trying to tell you how to 'suck eggs' but please consider konis or bilstein, people are generally very happy with them. regards
  12. you can try using this to translate http://babelfish.altavista.com/ but it's rough and tells you jack anyway. nice car though.
  13. http://enjoy1.bb-east.ne.jp/~pro/japan.html Yours for 130,000 Aussie beer tokens.
  14. Wow!!! Yours for AUD 130K plus shipping etc. http://enjoy1.bb-east.ne.jp/~pro/japan.html
  15. that must've been a rude shock....sorry
  16. Bet JR wishes he was still in a GTR. No matter though, if it wins again next year they'll prob ban it LOL!
  17. I'm after an A1 condition dash, please email pics to [email protected]
  18. Hi Myth33; It's dumps and engine pipes combined ie turbo outlet to cat off both huffers. Modyourcar has a pic of them on their website but they're incorrectly listed as being for R33 GTSt.
  19. I've had a CES split dump and full system on my RS Liberty for 5 years and it's great. Brilliant workmanship. At that stage they were cheap compared to others. I'm deliberating over whether to go for the long or short version of their dumps; long is my preference but they are twice the price and I already have Nismo engine pipes. Problem is no one including CES can give me kw gains long vs short version. Brazen; that's the first report I've heard on CES dumps, did your mate fit the long or short ones to his GTR? Rhett; Trust make a long style split dump/ engine pipe combo in stainless for $1400 from Autobarn. They do not have an expansion chamber design off the turbo flange like the CES ones.
  20. Sorry Scooby just want to add my 2c: SK: Good, your calculator works the same as mine, which I have checked by running the engine up on the engine dyno and the chassis dyno. Can't afford to have an unverified calculator. I think he was trying to clarify if it was 475 fly or atw, I don't believe your original post specified. But he should probably make sure he keeps that calc if it agrees with your dyno LOL! J/K I would never suggest taking a perfectly good RB26 out and replacing it with a standard internals RB30. That would be pretty damn silly. I was considering doing exactly that given the support I've read for this conversion, the apparently low cost and the impressive results people such as 88 (above) achieve. But I think I'm clear on that now. Irrelevant question really, the limit is 475 bhp, so reving a standard internals RB30 over 6,500 rpm is a waste of time. And they make so much average power (at that max power level) it is actually slowing the car's acceleration by reving it too far. Around 7,000 rpm is OK and 7,500 rpm, if it is balanced well. But if it is still making power at 7,000 rpm, then it is making over 600 bhp and you have exceeded the 475 bhp limit anyway. I didn't think it was that irrelevant given the discussion that sometimes surrounds rev limits for the RB26/30 but there is no question in my mind now. Thanks SK
  21. Part Number RE0810. Dimensions: 75mm ID (flange), large end 145mm diam tapering to 115mm, length 270mm. Would be suitable for big single application. Unused on road, still in box with oil. Has minor abrasions to rubber along approx 60mm at each end, incurred during fitting (too big to physically fit application therefore no longer required). $75 incl postage. Item is in Canberra, will post to buyer. Accept direct deposit or chq once cleared. Email [email protected] for photos.
  22. what do you want to do with it??
  23. Hi Angus; no mate it's not rare there have been long and ongoing bitch fights between SST (Steve) and him, his unhappy customers, his happy cutstomers, others on the site etc you name it. do a search for SST and you'll see what i mean. the tone of the blurb on ebay says it all. i don't know SST at all really so i have no views on the debate, just thought this was interesting.

  25. Try doing a search on this, it was discussed recently. From memory the N1 oil pump was just a standard one with a high tension spring. The water pump was designed for sustained high rpm use and not suitable for street driving. I'm pretty sure it was Sydneykid who posted.
