  1. Ah, what the hell, it's only money. Put me down for a bright silver one thanks. Will PM details etc.
  2. No money in doing that...
  3. Someone wants one here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=36319 . May not want to pay that much but.
  4. Watch out, after he sells you a bottle of the snake oil he will be trying to get you to fork out for a franchise of your own. So you too can "get rich quick". IMHO, if the stuff was any good at all it would be available in the shops, if it was as good as he claims then either a major car manufactufer or oil company would have bought it out. Keep using high quality oil and make those changes at 5000km, you'll be right.
  5. Um, I think that just about closes this thread.....
  6. I got '98 S2 GTS25t with K&N panel in stock airbox, turbo-back HKS Super Drager, 11PSI. so I have had quite a bit of interest in this thread. I will be getting along to a dyno-day B4 2 long and will then have the answers. The car is just SOOOO much better than stock like this. Much more fun to drive. p.s. being a 1998 model, there is a slight chance that my engine is actually a NEO6 internally. I have not been able to find out for sure but I guess if it goes on the dyno and makes about 15rwkw more than expected I will have an answer. Fingers crossed
  7. I guess you could say that if you blinked you would have missed it...? ok, sorry
  8. Yeah, I got a boost gauge in the same position. I can't see what would be wrong with it, the only thing it obscures is my view of the back corner of my bonnet! Like I really need to see that.
  9. Get yourself down to your nearest sports shop and buy a pool ball or snooker ball. Drill a hole in it about 1mm smaller than the thread on your gear lever and just screw it on, it will cut its own thread. Cost about $8 - $10. I have a #6 pool ball (6 cylinder...) but a plain red snooker ball looks like the "O" in nismo. It actually makes quite a comfy gear knob. And cheap too. Too easy
  10. Anyone got a FMIC that is damaged (eg accident damage) but still has enough good core to cut a piece the size of a std R33 intercooler? must be cheap. Brisbane area only thanks.
  11. yeah, now that I have both, the two kind of agree with each other (comforting thought) but the stock one is a little boring.
  12. PSSSHHHHHTTTT!!!!! Or if you are really unlucky... BLLLLUUUURRRTTTT :fart:
  13. it sure stops tailgaters :flamer:
  14. Thanx for the input guys. Bought a cheapie boost gauge and it is running about 8 pounds. Getting rid of the solenoid out of the circuit and losing the 2 stage boost has made the car HEAPS more fun to drive and won't have raised the peak power by 1 kw. Really makes you think that something with a big fat midrange is going to cream a dyno queen on the street don't it?
  15. Is the BOV plumb back or atmospheric venting? If you are running stock ECU and non plumb back BOV then that is the reason for your flames. AFM sees the airflow of the pssshhht and fuels to suit. Result, rich mixture, fuel smell and flames. Not that there's anything wrong with that... :devfu:
  16. Is the stock boost gauge any use in a R33? I have been playing round with a bleed valve and nothing I do seems to make the gauge go above the halfway mark. I know that the unit of measure is very roughly 7 on the gauge is 14psi but does it actually read true at the top of the scale? All I have done is replace the solinoid with a bleed valve, is there a restriction in the std plumbing that will limit it to the same as the +5000rpm boost level? Because that seems to be all I am getting.

  20. The first turbo car I drove was a half ruptured Cordia, not impressed... but my mate's auto 2 litre 180SX with a phat exhaust was a bit more like it. Then I had a fang in the 'line he got next... series 1.5 with GT2540, fmic, 4" exhaust, some sort of piggyback computer, etc, etc and 5 speed. Mmmmm, instant convert. Put my order in the next week. Now I can't wipe that silly grin off my face.
  21. sheesh, if you want to go that ricey, buy a Honda to do it to will ya.
  22. It should be. Bluepoint is a brandname now owned by SnapOn.

  24. I've got a whole heap of obtanium sitting in my garage, misread an auction on ebay and bought it before I noticed the missing "un". Anybody know what it could be useful for? it is weak as piss and really heavy. (hmm, hang on a minute...sounds like holden use it in the monaro...)
