  1. would make a good engine for a burnout car with all that low end punch :burnout:
  2. Another vote hete for 4100 turbolight at 5000km. However this time the local Autobarn were out of stock and mainly because I couldn't be arsed going somewhere else and I was about 500km overdue already I bought Motul 8100 x-cess. Couldn't claim to have noticed any difference and it was 20bux more. Interesting point; If you change you oil and filter at 5000km and ise sonething like 4100... It costs you 1cent per kilometer for oil. Betcha didn't know that.
  3. Vic? Hell, you guys get your asses reamed for just about anything don't you?
  4. damn, trying to remember some of the old C<64 games I had. Actually I was more into adventure games right at the beginning of when I was playing. I had a verbose printout of a game of Zork that I made a complete map from. Took me months to finish. Man I was pissed when I figured out how small the maze really was.
  5. that's good, right?
  6. Mechanical LSD's need LSD oil, Viscous LSD's use regular diff oil.
  7. I'd say the tiredest dogged out Silvia Q's you can get your hands on. most of the stuff should fit without too much worry and as you say, it don't need to be engineered :-) so some sledgehammer modification of transmission tunnel etc can be done for anything with clearance "issues". With luck you should even keep that sweet S13 handling.
  8. sounds like "limp home mode" to me
  9. Mine has been running at 10PSI for about 8 months without as much as a hiccough. AFR at peak power is still down below 11/1 so fuel is unlikely to be a problem.
  10. hmmm never noticed mine do that. Is it a feature of S2 models as well?
  11. Found this case at Prime Electronics here in Bridbane. Did a quick transplant and used some smaller push buttons. Guess I just can't help dicking around with things...
  12. mmmmmmmm 10-20 times bigger. gotta be better!! so how much lag would one of those have on my engine? note: this thread really was just a p!sstake on all the "I can get a T88 cheap off a mate , will it spool early and be street drivable on my stock RB20, don't tell me no because I really only want justification for buying it" type threads that you see. So FFS don't take it too seriously. Anyway some people have never seen it (the pic)... I hadn't Life's too short not to have fun and laugh at things.
  13. ... perhaps you missed the
  14. had 66000 on it last Xmas and now is 93000 odd. 27000 in 8 months.
  15. How much lag would I get with this on my RB25? I got it real cheap!

    BIG turbo

    From the album: PTR33's Gallery

What revs for full boost on a RB25?
  17. http://imports.motortraders.net/imports/se...n&model=Skyline Go here and pick the year then on the new page you can pick all the models and find out for your self...
  18. See? It's not just me that gets bitchy now and then!!
  19. Weight reduction could get you that 12... even just as little as getting rid of spare and jack, sub box, not running with a full tank of gas etc. No need to take to the poor car with tools and do things like rear seat, carpet, sound deadener etc. I know how frustrating that .077 is. I ran a 14.077 with full tank of gas (that is a 50kg weight penalty in a R33) and 10kg sub in the back seat. Could have been a "13" with a little more planning. Other than that... MORE BOOST! sorry, just had to be the first to say that.
  20. yep, paying your fair share of running the country is a b!tch ain't it?
  21. More info will help get better answers. How many km's has the engine done? What boost are you running? What are the spark plugs? (brand/heat range/type) and how old? What fuel? eg octane rating. Have you done a compression/leakdown test? Is it in a skyline of is it a heart transplant into something else? if so... Are your support items up to scratch? fuel pump, intercooler and plumbing, etc Stock or aftermarket computer? How much power is it making? a stock RB25 should put down about 170 rear wheel horsepower. mild mods and 10 PSI about 220-230 RWHP. If you can supply this info it will make it much more likely that one of our gurus will throw you some possible answers. They generally cant be bothered with generic "My engine's sick, what's wrong with it?" questions. Hope this helps you get the answers you are after.
  22. I think using the term "common sense" in a sentance refering to import compliance is an oxymoron. I have heard that there is only "one bite at the cherry". Bl00dy import nazies.
  23. Day to day driving on the road you hardly notice it. Many people wouldn't even know it was there. But it sure makes life harder if you are trying to maintain balanced power oversteer.
