  1. If anybody is good mates with workshops ask them along too, the more the merrier.
  2. Whilst the idea comes from another forum the invitation is open to all import owners/enthusiasts to come along. When: Sunday July 15th Time: 11am (gives people enough time to rock up, talk shit then start cooking) Where: Lennox Gardens http://maps.google.c...ritory&t=h&z=17 BYO food & drink I'm not going to be here for this, a few folks from NS will organise cooking & cleaning equipment. Bring your Nissan/Toyota/Mitsubishi/etc along, talk crap, enjoy the sausage festival
  3. Chasing an Rb25DET S2 AFM plug & wiring. Mine has been dodgied, wires rubber cemented to pins on the AFM, and now that the AFM has died I want to do it properly. Only need a plug but a couple of inches of the attached wires wouldn't go astray either.
  4. ^ Anth is selling Z32 ones, plug is different. Don't want go that option as I'd need a Nistune chip & to get it tuned - better off getting a new ECU & remove the AFM altoghether. Only bought the RB25 AFM off James because it was really cheap and it will make do until I get a Link ECU.
  5. Just bought DJBarnstar's S2 AFM as I killed mine at Wakefield but need a plug to suit as mine has been dodgied & rubber cemented in place by the previous owner. If anybody has removed the AFM from their car & still has the plug/wiring let me know. Cheers, Sol
  6. Bought this some time ago with the intention of sticking it on the 25 in my ceffy. I'm going on my honeymoon in 6 weeks and could really use the cash instead. It's a cut & shut job using RB25 runners, welds look very solid & professional & a custom box for all the lines has been made & bolted underneath. This cost me a fair bit, more than what I'm asking. Stand out like a virgin in a whorehouse with this thing sitting on your 25. Price: $800 Contact: PM if interested
  7. Naz @ Kustom Motor Finishes in Qbn
  8. S13 SR20DE with extractors, AFM, HKS mushroom filter + loom & ECU. It's missing an EGR hose and needs a new starter motor. On a pallet ready to go. Unknown km's - was taken out of a Sil a few years ago & dropped into a Sil80 (which now has a DET in it). Engine never missed a beat whilst my wife had it in her car. Location: Qbn (no it's not bloody stolen) Price: $400
  9. Capital Automotive in Fyshwick, Roy doesn't let stupid fashion mods pass but he's not a nazi either.
  10. Does anybody have a GOOD pic of the Autech bar & lip on a car? I've got pics of a similar Aeromaster (i think) kit but no decent quality ones of Autech bar & lip. Autech lip looks to jut straight out from the sides like a snow plow in the pic below, no flaring around the sides. Looks kind of shit IMO, I'll see if I can reduce the snow plow look and add a little flare out at the sides - only very mild though.I've added a dodgy symmetrical air intake to this one but haven't played with the lip yet.
  11. A couple of quick alterations - no Autech centre bubble bit yet as I'm using the TBO front bar as the basis
  12. Naz @ KMF did an insurance repair job on my g/f's Sil80 after an exhaust shop munted the front bar and bent the driver's side guard - came out clean as. Her car has since been back for more work and is the highest quality at a realistic price. Can't recommend him enough.
  13. That what's I was talking about when I asked about the indicator holes - not the side ones. I've never had any issues with not running indicators in the front bar even when the front bar fell off on the street a few times & I got pulled over for it, still no defect as the bar was in the car with me and I was 'on my way to the body shop'
  14. Here's a quick chop - it's far from perfect - of a cross between the Autech S1 and TBO bars. Has a lip, larger & symmetrical air intakes and no indicator holes. Thoughts? (aside from 'learn to photoshop')
  15. Autech front bar - indicator holes at the front. Yay or nay?
  16. Like the white ceffy with black skirts & rear bar. Wonder how that theme would look with an Autech kit if the front bar was black too.
  17. 400rwkw - was that built though? Quite a difference between building an engine specifically for that sort of power and just slapping a turbo on a DE.
  18. That's not so bad if it was a more common car like an S13. $16.8K outlay for everything, sell the kits for $700 each and you make a profit.
  19. Nah mate, no such thing as the pension anymore, that went out some time ago. 2 more years and I'm eligible for long service leave. Do you get on NS much? There's a thread there about joining the ADF in the jobs & careers section.
  20. Everybody wants plastic.... anybody willing to put money behind their comments and help pay the $25K up front fee to make the mold? I sure as shit don't have that kind of cash and if I did it probably wouldn't be spent on making something that potentially only 50 people over the next 3 years would buy. We'd have more luck conducting an email spam campaign on TRA Kyoto to make a ceffy kit than getting a plastic one made here at a reasonable price.
  21. Purely an assumption (i bought my car with a 25 already in it, so know nothing about 20s), but I'm assuming much like an SR20DE+t you'd be limited to almost stock boost due to compression. Quite possibly an incorrect assumption too. Seems like a waste of effort to me just to be little different when there's plenty of DETs out there ready to drop in.
  22. Stick with the 20 if rego is a concern. I've been in the RAAF for almost 8 years, lived in 4 different states, had to change my license all the bloody time and am sick of it. So much so that my ceffy is now off the road getting stripped out & converted into track only (& the occasional weekend cruise). If you want a clean & tidy cruiser keep it fairly stock. That said, I wouldnt go the DE+t when you could simply buy a DET and get more out of it than a DE+t.
