Yeah it makes sense, I like the sound of it. It's simple, but combined with the larger rear plate opening will be enough to no be considered a copy.

Latest news: For legal reasons any design has to be different, so...... an Autech bar with a symmetrical intake would be enough. As would the TBO bar with a less pronounced full lip (doesn't recess at the mouth). Same goes with any other kit pieces. Plastic molding is not a financially viable option - one place was happy happy to do it but wanted $25K up front to make the mold - metal molds, plastic injection. On top of that would be materials, labour, etc. Still waiting to hear back about FRP. Fibreglass is looking like the best option at the moment. Ideas on tweaks for these rear bars? (I've chosen these for ease of molding) 1) 2) 3)

Widened mouth? How big are the coolers you're running to need a widened mouth? I'll ask about the add on lip next time we speak but i'm going with the symmetrical Autech bar for now as it's simple (which hopefully means cheap). Baby steps, IF that works out then I'll start looking at other stuff like the lip, roof spoiler and so on.

I get the feeling I'm going to get shot if this falls through... so i'll throw it out there. NO PROMISES!!! Personally I'm happy with a fibreglass kit if it's not going to cost a squillon dollars and there's a mold but I'll keep everybody posted on the progress.

Not a fan of the stock bar/lip at all. I can see the advantages of it on a street car though, no uber flares or superlow cop-bait features. Quick update: Company I'm talking to is chasing down the possibility of producing a symmetrical Autech S1 kit in plastic.

S2/S3? S1? (middle section chopped out) S2 front with lip? S1 rear S2 rear? What's S3? Or have I just got it wrong and there's only Autech S2/S3? I'd even consider getting this one (Japanese words) TBO if the bottom centre section lined up with the lower flared section in the centre - it'd be similar to a symmetrical Autech bar with the lip molded in (albeit a more pronounced lip)

That's why I was asking, I've been seeing that same kit advertised with a blurred out front bar for the last 4 years or so on yahoo auctions. I'm yet to find out if this company will make/copy kits for Cefiros at all, so far the conversation has just been floating the idea, sending them images of kits available in Japan. I'm meeting them Sunday to speak about it more. Please take all of this with a grain of salt - I don't want to build false hope. Thoughts on an Autech kit with a second hole on the other side of the front bar?

Do K&M Missile still do complete kits?

Not sure many places will do plastic but I'll certainly ask if these guys are interested in it across the range of kits they'll do.

I've started talking to a new company in NSW that will be releasing their own kits for a range of cars & saw it as a good opportunity to try get a bit more variety in Aus, rather than the usual Uras copy for Ceffies. Obviously they're not going to buy a few genuine kits and create molds if there isn't enough interest. So.... what kits would Cefiro owners like to see copied & made available in Aus? Poll is multiple choice. If you want another kit added let me know, I'll chuck it in.

Rarest thing i've seen is genuine Ganador mirrors for a Cefiroa couple of years ago. They went for more than $350 on yahoo auctions.

A stocko blue S13 was stolen from Russell Offices today, car had a 5 stud swap and had Weds SA70 or SA90 rims. Stock height, no kit. Rego is YGR39Y.

For the same money you'd pay for the BC Racing coilovers you could get much better Silk Road Section RM8s delivered from Japan.

At least in Japan they do the VIP thing to cars that suit that style, not make performance oriented cars handle like a stinking commo by dumping it on it's rails and sticking 20x7" chromed doilies in the guards.

That front bar is odd looking, the upper part looks very square & the bottom looks quite rounded. I can see why Justin remodelled the WSX bar, it would've been a nightmare to fix with all those little flimsy bits in it. The newer one is still pretty decent looking but not worth the money they're asking.

Any issues with the box, synchros all good etc?

It used to be my fave, although it's undergone a few remodelling phases since the first design. Still annoys me they never made a rear bar to go with it. The pic below is the first inception of the WSX kit, originally modelled off the Nismo 400R front bar. Fk would have to be the fave now.

There's only 3 people in the Marulan region that are opposed to it, none of them live near the track

Nic_A31 what paint is that, BMW of some sort? Looks similar to the beamer X5 or X7 colour I was thinking of using to paint my car.

Appreciate the effort folks, this is definitely a worthy cause. The word has been spread to Qld too, hopefully thousands of people get behind this.
