Hey, Has anyone had hands on experience with the Saber intercooler kits? Specifically the R Spec, which is a return flow - similar to the JustJap Stealth. I have been told that the cores come out of the same factory as HDi. Searches haven't turned up much info... I would be interested in build quality, ease of fitment, performance improvement, etc.

After chasing it up, its meant to be a foglight on warning light. On all the time means the wiring was done wrong. It's put on as part of compliance due to the ADR requirement.

Sorry to dig this back up, but I just got a car and it has the green light too. On all the time, etc. Can't figure out what it's meant to mean. Has anyone figured it out yet? Mine is a S2 as well.

You do have to restart FAST before it will update all the labels to the new font. MS Arial Unicode should do it too, in Japanese.. MS Gothic is a Vista thing I think..

There aren't many buttons you really need to know. The headings, etc you can just guess or translate. Most buttons have english tooltips. You can't change the language on the buttons.

You can always get an RAA check done.. There is another mob called motacheck (www.motacheck.net) who do inspections in Adelaide. They're pretty good, do compression checks, etc. Think one of the inspectors is ex. regency and has a good eye for problems.

If it's because the OEM own doesn't seem to be sealing? If so, you can anneal them with an oxy torch (or a camping stove). Heat them up to just rosy then let it cool down naturally in air. Makes the metal soft again, and can be recrushed.

All that does is change the default font to Gothic, which includes a japanese character set. You won't be able to copy and paste into translators unless you run the program and IE in japanese mode in my experience.

Yeah, it's in Japanese. You need to turn on the japanese language in windows for it to make proper characters instead of rubbish. Then use translators such as excite, worldlingo, google, etc to decode. Use a few and average the results

That's readable. You use the ER34-022333 Part. R34 25GT Coupe built 03/99 (RB25DE) . Yellow paint, Xenon headlights, UV blocking glass, remote entry, glove box light. Has factory mags and F&R Strut bars.

Can you go into shannons and state your case fir insurance, or do you have to do it via net/phone? I'm wondering if it would make it easier going in all scrubbed up and dressed in Nissan clothing?

The 33 has started to get a little surface rust on the underbody and a couple of the suspension pieces. Nothing at all major, just starting to look like its starting to colour. I assume its from the salt on the Japanese roads. Has anyone treated this? What's the best method? I was going to give it a light wire brush, and give it a spray with rustkill, so that it lasts forever But I've been told I should use a special paint, even tho it doesn't have paint additives.. Info would be much appreciated. Want to do it in one hit, so I can use my mates hoist..

Thanks PM-R33 and HEKT1K, I appreciate the feedback. I think I'll probably end up with a S2 in the end. The dash surround is also different. Around the hazard button, etc it is FLAT on the S1 or S1.5 and curved on the S2. Hard to show in the pics, but you get the idea. Note the S2 is normally black/dark grey and has been painted in the pic. S1 / S1.5 S2 And for those that were wondering about the trim, they are shown below. The S1 trim is a lot like the late 32 trim. The majority of S1.5 cars I have seen (aka 1995) have got the late model trim. The coloured gearshift and handbrake boots are aftermarket. S1 S2

I have also found three different styles of stock steering wheel. I know there are S1.5's (aka 1995 models) runnning around with the late wheel, but this is as a general rule.. S1 (Non-Airbag) S1 (Option Airbag) / S1.5 (Airbag) S2 (Standard Airbag) And, as it is related, this is the passenger side dash. In the S1/ S1.5's the airbag was optional. Ok, here is something I have found. The two pictures show the different clusters. The red highlights the differences. Basically the warning lights, clocks themselves appear to be the same.. S1 S2

Cheers, have looked but don't know how far to trust the ebay ads, lol. I'll try to add information as I find it for other people to use.. I can now translate most model numbers (the GGKBRTFR33VDA----- style numbers on the plate) into the options on the car. If it had factory kit, ABS, sunroof, etc etc. May eventually put it all in a document people can use, just time consuming.. If anyone wants something converted give us a shout..
