I paid over $3000 for insurance when i first got my R33. I was 18 and had 0% no claim. This was through RAC. It was the cheapest i could get and i really wanted the car, so i can definatly understand people paying that much. If you love the cars and have no other choice...then you gotta pay it. Either that or have an uninsured car OR buy a crap car with no power. I am now 21 and looking to buy a 89 GTR in the next year or so.... and yeah insurance is gonna be tough to find.

The guy who used to work at Fremantle Bob Janes (until it closed) had a WRX that ran 12.02..... and he was telling me he has been through 2 gearboxes in that thing. They are still awesome cars. If you really want bang for buck you cant beat a 2 litre Silvia/180... Those things fly with FMIC, exhaust and boost control.... but lack the class of a line or WRX

Well Shacks Holden had another black R34 in after the one you bought THink it may be sold but, havent seen it there in a while. i always found it ironic seeing an R34 Skyline with Shacks Holden number plate surround thingy.

Dan hows your WRX going? Done many mods to it? I was never really interested in HP figures..... More interested in 1/4 mile times. Thats how i judged a "fast" car. Some people say 1/4mile is crap coz it doesnt prove any handling etc....which is true but, if you race someone at the lights, handling doesnt matter too much either..... you dont often have proper "street races" around corners etc. My mates 180sx should be back on the road this weekend, and should be good for 300rwhp, which sounds good, but who knows what that will be like on the 1/4mile.... should be mid 12s at least though. Anyways this is one of the reasons i got rid of my 33 GTST, and am currently hunting for a 89 GTR to import. I know there will be a lot next year, but I still wanna own a car that does easy 12s with basic mods Ben

Apparently the best mod by far is the DMS-3 www.dms3.com But you pay for it.... I was going to get one but think it was $250+ installed. bah!
