Hey , I'm looking at upgrading my mostly stock exhaust system on my r34 GT-T I wanted to go for something like jjr dump/front pipe .. catco 3" hf cat .. then maybe a custom back end. But ive heard from some people that jjr are 'cheap shit' =/ lol . Is it really that bad? Would it be better to spend $100 more on an apexi front pipe? (i assume the dumps on a 34 are good enough anyway?) - Or would there be no real difference. Also sound aside, would a custom system (cat back) flow aswell as an aftermarket jap bolt on ? Marking on the muffler are - Nismo B0100 AA525 (and) Calsonic Ill take a pic when i can - I have a feeling ill have to replace the whole system , thinking jjr dump/front pipe, catco hi flow, and maybe just a custom back end (3") .. with hopefully twin upturned tips.

Hi, I bought my r34 about a month go, and I have not had a chance to get it up and check out the exhaust system on it yet - although i believe it is a stock system . I can see the muffler is a Nismo (B0100 AA525) and it says calsonic on it. Does anyone know about this muffler? Is it factory from nissan? and also i was wondering what size the inlet pipe is? I havnt been able to find the info elsewhere Cheers, Sam

Cos yeah i need to get a new front guard that has better ground clearance and i would obviously like to be sure about the colour. (pics attached, or in my 'garage') Sam

haha yeah you make alot of good points there rekin.. (will prob go with a glass break / ultrasonic sensor)..already has a really dark tint so all good there. Will ring the insurance company and get the full comp changed to agreed value from market too .. then hope for the best True that nicr4wks!

They said they would need 5 hours / half a day to do it. And they are VACC accredited (which i would say is the vic equivilant to the nsw thing) .. costing $500 for the m60 installed -which is what mongoose quoted me anyway, another 150 for a tilt sensor. Say they install it correctly - how long would it take you then? lol

update - i had the front bumper tightened as it was slightly loose (and it actually ended up about 3mm higher off the ground all round) anyway today i got over a speed bump =D haha (one of the black and yellow, like flat top pyramid ones) so perhaps i can get away with not raising it.

Oh yeah turns out i can add the tilt sensor and pager, will get a quote monday =]

the m60 is also aus standard , all black wiring.. but its 2 point instead of 3 point immobilisation - is there that much off a difference going to 3 point? can a pager / tilt sensor be added to the m60s? the car is booked in on thurs and theyve already ordered the m60 so yeah =/. Im getting it installed at a place called AES (car electronics specialists) in Geelong where i live.. ive had stuff done there before with my old cars and they were pretty reliable.

Hi guys, Bit of a noob question here but i dont know much about suspension. I recently aquired my 1998 r34 GT-T, and it is on bilstein shocks and king springs and is very low -the body kit hangs down crazily low especially the front guard. So low in fact that i would like to raise it as to be honest it would still look good a bit higher, and wouldnt be pretty much impossible to park anywhere through a driveway / go over any bump. Is there any way i can get it raised without spending like 2k on coilovers etc? thanks, Sam
