  1. yeh good mate, guys noticed when there cars been driven around for a while and i park i can hear a ticking sound coming from the motor - im guessing its the lifters - how bad a problem is this? does it mean the engine is probably a little tired? its meant to have a geniuine 68kms according to autoworx

  3. I haven't been in an import in a while but now that i have my new skyline my heart skips a beat when i see a cop car haha. How often do you guys get pulled over? is it almost a certainty if you end up with a cop car behind you? Whats the attitude of most cops towards skylines these days? is it basically pull over/ instant yellow sticker? Steve

Hey guys, im just curious for those that have travelled to Japan/ Lived there - what is the general japanese opinion on the R33 GTS-t? it's common knowledge that S13/14/15 R32's are very popular for drift, but what do the Japanese think of the R33 Gts-t? do they get used commonly for drifting/dragging applications? or are they more the commodore commuter equavilent...

  7. mate if your concerned about the km's get the engine compression tested - this will give you a good idea how its been treated and how much life is left in it. Steve

  9. cars booked in for a retune, service and general look over on friday at allstar garage, will post power results Mid 13's would be fantastic will have to wait and see
  10. cheers mate, im looking forward to getting it out for a few runs. Only thing that will probably die is the clutch - i think it may be stock as it feels very light (previous owner was an international student and had no idea about the mods)
  11. any idea what the car would do down the quarter mile? my old S13 only had 196rwhp but i still mananged to get a 13.8 out of her CA18FTW (S13 clearly lighter then r33 though)

Im going to book the car in for a retune and service this saturday ( the last owner got the car serviced at Kmart Tyre and Auto last week lol) Hoping Allstar Garage or wherever i take it can also sought out the clunking/ groaning problem. Also NISMOGTT i tried what you said with the alarm and it worked! My other question is legally, if i got a yellow sticker would this car get over the pits fairly easily?
  14. Hey guys , Im steve, im back into the import scence after 2 years off - ive owned a few imports before and used to drift my old S13 down at waneroo raceway. Below is my new car which i have included specs and pics and am also seeking some advice with a few issues listed below... SII 1996 R33 Skyline GTS25T ~67,000kms Imported in December 2009, - C's Short Shifter - Pedders adjustable camber bushes - Greddy FMIC - Tein Superstreet Coilover suspension - Whiteline heavy duty front and rear swaybars - Apexi cold air induction - 3in Xforce TBE - Apexi Neo AFC - Greddy EBC - Work Emotion Charcol/Bronze 18in with centre caps - New 235/40's - Bosch fuel pump - Alpine DVD head unit - Original Nissan floor mats - Dark Tint - Autowatch alarm 278rwhp I am having a few problems that i'd like to get some advice on 1) Knocking/ clunking/ groaning/ creeking in front right and rear right wheels ( or that general area) when turning into a driveway, or parking up a kerb when i turn i get a strange groaning/ almost clunking from the front drivers side wheel / rear wheel area - what could this be? the coilovers are new so i was thinking some sort of bushes? 2) Doesn't boost smooth sometimes and doesnt feel as powerful as it should when boosting sometimes i get a moment of hesitation and then it boosts or even a slight jerking in 3rd gear one time. it also doesn't pull as hard as you'd think for the power it has it almost feels like its being "held back" especially at high revs il take it in to get serviced and retuned at all star garage this weekend 3) The car seems to have an auto turbo timer? is this a feature built into the apexi NEO or GREDDY EBC? how do i get the engine to turn off straight away if i need to? 4) does anyone know this car? all advice appreciated.   17. hey guys, saw a spotless R33 SII today, only 70 000kms, the owner was an international student and hard on english He produced a dyno sheet for the car that read 276 rwhp. the thing is while it drove perfectly it felt more like 200, or even like standard - he couldnt explain to me if the boost had been turned down (very hard on english) Is that power possible for the below mods? - Greddy FMIC - Apexi cold air induction - 3in Xforce TBE - Apexi Neo AFC - Greddy EBC - Bosch fuel pump
  18. hey guys, im looking at buying a R34 GTT manual coupe. There arent many for sale at the moment in perth. One has caught my eye, it seems to be in great condition, the only thing putting me off is that it has 145 000 kms on the clock - i see dealers importing them with 60 - 100 000's but the cost is about 3k more. Is this to much? i intend to enter some track days etc in the car - the guy said compression test revealed 160 psi on all cylinders, is this a good result or just average? im also a bit worried about re sale, will be hard to move with 180 + kms on it. Hey Guys Buying my first R33 Have owned and drifted a couple of S13's Just a few questions. firstly the compression results of the motor im looking at getting in the R33 returned results of 140psi even coming from drifting CA18DET's and SR20's this result seemed low to me but the owner reassured me this is a brilliant result for a rb25 and the compression is lower in a six cylinder, can anyone confirm this? Steve
