  1. Funniest Answer: Ash and Alex, who when asked how many license points for " Drive or use vehicle where sound system emits offensive noise" answered "like maria carey or the backstreet boys?" heheh I wrote that on their form during lunch.. to all those that made today possible.... Thank you! It was a fantastic day out and about, the drive was awesome, the route was awesome... the whole thing was just good fun. Thank you.. I have some photos, will post them tomorrow.
  2. That price is pritty good for what the car has on it.. Just get a workshop to have a look at it for you..
  3. Ohh sikness duncan! J00 1s t3h m4st3r s1k 1 So there you go kids... How to get a Cams license. On next weeks show we will be doing an expose on grating tyres using a race track.
  4. Not yet dan.. So I suppose that means GAME ON!
  5. What level license you wanting b-man??? I think our learned Cams Delegate Dino is currently on a recon mission, so I may be able to field some of the questions regarding this until his return. We can issue a 2c license through the club because of our affliation, this will get you a license for superprints, hill climbs and other non-timed events. For something more intense you would need to pass certain criteria (which duncan can tell you about being a full sik racing dude).
  6. Dont listen to them.. Join both!!! No shell is right, most of our events are based in or in close proximity to Sydney. However if you want to get your cams through us we would love to be of assistance.
  7. Rich means more fuel in your fuel air mix, lean means less. The SAFC will allow you to tune your mix thus stopping the back fire. The stock computer calculates air using your air flow meter, and assumes the air will still be around when your throttle body closes. Hence it puts more fuel into the mix. (well put simply.. if anyone was to elaborate be my guest)
  8. Yeah duncan.. Viva la Symex! Lap 1 they are cold, lap 2 they are okay lap 3 they are too hot.. hahaha i got some 18s now but the rubber on those needs replacing too.
  9. Its the BOV matey. If your BOV is venting to atmosphere then your engine is running rich as the air it expects to be returned into the air filter is being sent into the atomosphere by your BOV. If you plummed it back to your air box it should stop..
  10. W00T Still dont have decent tyres... will be interesting

  20. Merli got it spot on. My first car was an Auto Pulsar, and I drove it hard. Then I got a 99 celica and drove that hard. Both of those cars where not powerfull, so you push them alot harder. I started to do some driver training in the celica and realised how easy I could get into trouble. I learned how to start to handle a car which was out of control. (Well getting it back anyway). After that my driving has gotten alot better, I have not had a speeding fine since and I drive alot more carefull in the skyline. I respect that my car whilst not a huge KW beast (yet) is still a fast car, and should be respected. Trackdays are fantastic too, I have learned so much about driving this year, and I am more confident about driving on the road. However there is still the other people on the road to worry about. I almost had a lady in a Lotus Elise smash into my car the other day on epping road. I had to brake hard and did so very smoothly and pulled up in time. She was not watching and slammed the brakes, now if you lock up a car your not going to stop in a hurry. Needless to say I was worried about this lady and her car becoming a fixture of my skyline. I think education is a point which needs to be pushed, and we are all capable of this. My sister is going to start to drive shortly and I will teach her all that I know. Then I will pay for her to go to do Level 1 and 2 advanced driving with Aaron McGill. Driving training costs less than most of us pay for insurance, and has a greater potential to safe your life, someone elses life or your property.
  21. There is some very good arguments and points made here.. 1) We have all some something silly at one point or another. We drive very powerfull cars, these cars have high limits and we have all pushed them at one time or another. 2) Illigal street drags are dangerous, be it in a industrial area or not. I have seen footage of people lined up on the side of the road. What if a car spins into a crowd of people at high speed. I dont need to draw a picture at the carnage. 3) Nasho / OPH is not a race track. You have wildlife, other traffic and people to contend with. I know of a few people who have lost it on that road in some way or another and in each case it could have been alot worse. I know that the drags are expensive, and I know that track days are fantastic. Since starting to go to track days I have lost any interest in nasho runs. I have lost points for speeding, but I learned my lesson not from a lame speeding fine but from learning more about my car. How long it takes to brake for instance. I think its up to us all to smother the "hoon" stereo type. I hate it when people find out I have a skyline and ask me if I street race. I am always being followed home by the police... all because I love skylines and own one. If we act responsible then we can change the face of this stereotype.
  22. Found this on OT. Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan The big news for the 2004 G35 Sport Sedan is the addition, beginning in early December, of the G35 Sedan Leather AWD model. This new model features an advanced all-wheel drive system with an active torque distribution management system with an electro-magnetic clutch (no center differential). The advantage of this system is smooth starts and better traction and maneuverability on snowy roads and minimal compromise of rear-wheel drive performance characteristics on dry roads. Torque distribution front-to-rear is computer controlled and is variable between 0:100 and 50:50 front:rear. All 2004 G35 Sport Sedans express Infiniti’s bold new direction of combining leading-edge design and technology, driver-oriented performance and a high level of luxury. The G35 comes standard with a 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode or close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel independent multi-link suspension and rear-wheel drive. Enhancements to the 2004 G35 Sport Sedan include: ·New G35 Leather AWD model with ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, including "Snow-Mode" switch which fixes the torque distribution ration at 50:50 to improve performance on slippery roads ·Standard heated outside mirrors on all models 17-inch wheels now standard on all models ·Improved standard 6-disc CD changer (with faster operation) ·Standard Tire Pressure Monitor System ·Standard rear limited-slip differential on Leather 6MT model ·Heated front seats and 4-way power front passenger's seat standard on Leather, Leather 6MT models ·Engine will meet LEV2 standard for emission control (beginning with October production) ·Two new exterior colors – Diamond Graphite, Twilight Blue (previously available) http://www.nissannews.com/

    Jobs?

Duncan.. Meee too Will settle for a 911 Turbo, gt2, Skyline (r33 or r34) and no less than 400k a year.
  25. It is not expensive.. Andrew, a friend at work has recently had some parts of his VW sand blasted and powdercoated. Whilst the job he had wont be the same as what you need, it was not costly. The powdercoating and sandblasting of each wheel was 40 dollars. The place he went to is out west, (not convinent for NS folk) but I shall get the name none the less.
