and would a rb20 turbo be better for wot i want then the stock rb30 one?

i have a n/a rb30 in a nissan patrol its getting turboed but wana leave compression up so it holds back better going down hills and keeps the low down power for 4wding wot kind of boost can i run with a top mount to keep it from crapping its pants?

would it boost up quicker with standard n/a compression and keep boost low so it doesnt rape the motor?

it just needs to have as little lag as posible

just wondering is there any difference with computer harness between auto and manual if converted from auto to manual is it just a case of unpluging thr auto controler box under passenger seat and running the rest of the excisting wiring?

i have a rb30 in a patrol its non turbo im turboing it and wana do it in a way to get maximum bottom end power less lag the better would standard compression and stock boost be the go?
