hey guys and girls, i am replacing my tail shaft becoz its creamed. anyways i went to look at 2 tailshafts today and one of them was just a normal r31 tailshaft and the other had been customized. it didnt have a centre bearing. so its just a straight tail shaft. Any ideas if there any good or not coz i know the r31`s are a on going problems for having centre tailshaft bearing replaced ? its gonna save me money in the long run but what are they like to drive Cheers Kayla

Thank you i wont be able to do the job for atleast another 6-8weeks as i am moving house so i dont want toa start something and then have to move everything again. thats really kind of you to help me. the problem is i have found a r31 and its got a yellow sticker so i was thinking of buying that its road legal and all it needs is a clutch. what ya think? buy the car and then move it when i move they only want $400 for it . i done this in the uk i striped my s13 and got stuck with quite a few parts. my main concern is getting rid of the shell. everything else i can put in a box or something. it sounds good tho. so you recon that it would be easier to buy another 31 and use the parts from that to do the job. i still need to find someone that wants to help me do the project as i want to get hands on myself. Thank you thats nice of you. iv been told that a 31 is easy to convert by other peeps. i want to get hands on with the project with a helping hand of course.

yer just a standard 30 litre. so if i wanted to change my engine over and gearbox what would i need to do that eg part? Thanks

so your all saying that i should buy a engine and gear box? but wouldnt that cost more for parts and stuff to do that way?

i dont want to put it into a workshop coz i wanted to do it myself with someone helping and guiding me. i know it would probably be cheaper to sell mine and buy another one but she is my baby. and i want to convert her coz i love drifting and since i moved here from england i havent had a decent manual. when i was in england i had a 180sx turbo she was lovely and i miss drifting her lol (sado). so i decided i wanted to go abit more old school with my car and thats why i got my 31. once i have done the manual side of things i want to put a turbo on her again i know it would probably be easier to sell mine. hey mate i dunno if there the same but iv just changed my R31 injectors and mine were a bit of a pain to replace but they should fit in tight otherwise you will have another leak/ are you sure that they are the right ones for your car because they vary in size. hope it helps
