  1. Oops my bad. I meant the pcv valve. It's on the side of your rocker cover sort of near the throttle body. It basically controls air going into the crank case
  2. Hmm funny you should say that rob82. Iv heard a hissing sound coming from the Egr valve since taking the rocker cover off. Maybe the egr valve is stuffed
  3. I will check the keyway over the weekend. But if it was the keyway wouldn't the timing be erratic all the time?
  4. Hey guys i recently did my 100,000 service and cleaned my throttle body at the same time. Since then my idle seems to go anywhere from 735-775rpm this doesn't bother me to much however at idle my timing is all over the place but only when the car has warmed up and has been revved a few times(figures are from an ecu consult display) Base timing was checked at completion of the 100,000 service and was 15 degrees. If i hold the accelerator anywhere else in the rev range the timing stays constant. It also stays constant when it is cold at idle and adjusts as the car starts to warm up. But as soon as it gets to about 72 degrees water temp when i give it a quick rev it doesn't return to 15 degrees at idle, it will read anywhere from 0-15 degrees and is constantly fluctuating. Has anyone ever had this problem or knows what the problem might be? The car is a 1996 GTS-T
  5. Thanks mate but i have to take it to work. Might wash it tomorrow if i get a chance and hope it stays clean until Sun
  6. Damn it, i have to work all day Saturday now so im not sure when im going to wash my car I dont want to turn up with a dirty near stock Skyline

  9. Blue R33 going down Hindmarsh Drive blowing flames out the exhaust
  10. Hey mate thanks for your help and advise I will try and bring the car past there in the next 2 weeks, but with work at the moment its hard to bring it there during the day. The more i try to work out what it is myself the more i think it might not be the engine, its almost like the flywheel is out of balance or something
  11. Hmmm ok any volunteers want to lend me there CAS so i can check to see if this is the problem. Or is there a way to test it with a multimeter or something, also if it was the CAS would it come up as a fault code because the ECU says no fault recorded?
  12. Well all bolts are tight. Donnan i would take the car somewhere like that to get checked but i really dont have the cash at the moment. The car has 92,000kms on it so will have to take it somewhere in the next year to get the 100,000 service anyway. Hopefully its nothing major and will last till then.
  13. I changed the oil and filter 2 weeks ago. I will check the balancer bolt cheers
  14. Iv had my Skyline for a few months now and since owning have noticed the engine feels rough between 2500-4000rpm. It sort of feels like it is out of balance or something. Just wandering if this is normal for the RB25 or do i have problems. Car runs perfect besides this and its just got me a bit worried. Cheers
  15. Spotted Kat in the S3 on the parkway yesterday was stopped at the traffic lights at Athlon Drive
