You can die thinking about it or die trying - Unfortunately this week a fried of mine passed prematurely and this has led me to believe give everything a go while you can - you own and drive a gtr so use it in the right enviroment.

C'mon, a reglued shifter is a poor excuse!!

when you enable the air-con from the climate control is the clutch on the air-con compressor engaging?
-
I take it this is the car that beefy has advertised on these forums and is discussed in the other thread "where to get a vehicle inspection". I had the same experience with hypertech rubbishing all cars other than their customers ones for sale and would prefer Ben's opinion anyday. How long has it been complied and were the mods done here or in Japan? I think this car may have had a hit in the front from what I have heard. If its already complied then the tag isn't a huge issue is it?
-
Yeah I saw it too - didn't have in car footage on the track which would have been nice. Blokesworld immediately after is good value as well. Racecar is filmed in WA right?

Hi KBNR32, i have blue powdercoated RB26 rocker covers / coil pack cover that are unscratched. I was going to get them re-powdercoated black but maybe we can help each other out here. I would be prepared to swap for yours if they are still in the original black. I am also in Melb and can perform the swap if you want. Let me know.

I had the same problem. It ended up being two much endfloat of the compressor shaft. The clutch of the compressor will not engage when this occurs. I found a second hand one and haven't looked back - i thought toyota nippon - denso air was good but this is colder. good luck

do you have an aftermarket oil pressure guage installed? If so it may be a capillary line type that carries engine oil to the rear of the guage and may be leaking. Alternatively your engine maybe leaking a substantial amount of oil that has built up on the firewall and is making its way through a grommet then onto your pedal box. Start lookin at the rear of the engine bay for answers.

is the oil on your clutch or clutch pedal?

leaking rocker cover?

I Am Looking For An R32gtr Aust Delivered Fs
benjiman74 replied to Marko R1's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
there is a charcoal, 1 owner, aussie delivered, in Mentone Victoria. He is asking $40K+ and its been for sale for over two months. I believe its got just over 100,000 km;s though. It's still listed on carsales.com under the private advertisers section. Hope this helps. -
Weird things you skyline does

air con doesn't have to run cold. the purpose is to take the humidity/moisture out of the air. simply set your temp control to the hottest setting with aircon on. It is actually the quickest way to demist the window. -
Blitz: This thread is in respect of a stolen car insured by Famous and the owner was denied coverage. Stolen car and the relevant insurance policy should be discussed in the same thread to alert others under the same circumstance.

I don't think famous are doing anyone any favours! I'll ask again, anyone received a settlement from famous on a total loss - ie theft or write-off?
-
nicknick that is a sweet lookin car - However I am suprised that the box lasted longer than the twin plate HKS clutch. I'll let it go with respect to your 1/4 mile run but I will say that is the slowest time I have seen for that kph (I understand your clutch was f##ked, it just seems odd that you got drive in higher gears to obtain the terminal speed). Gettin back to your comparison of the rex boxes, aren't they the weekest part of subaru's driveline eg 2 -3 good launches and they are stuffed. Anyhow, lookin at your mods you should run low11's with ease. I wish you the best at the track in the future! PS: What was the go with that 15K gtr you needed to sell to buy a house but now you have this beast?
-
K - i jumped the gun the car pic hadn't been posted yet. So thats your car that is in HPI GTR Special #4. That article supports your story that it still has the original box. I think you will have to admit you will need some luck keepin it together if you plan to run 10's.
-
nicknick - thanks for the timeslip (what about your car?) Also was this done in the gtr you were selling for $15K on here in the last week or so? Without being too much of a synic that timeslip could have been for a rail that missed the start then got back on it 3/4 track!!
-
why not just post them here for all to see? I'm not the only one thinkin this doesn't add up.

Goods news on getting your car back! Was forced entry used to gain access to the car or were the keys used? If forced entry then it shouldn't matter who was holding the keys - its a theft like if you were parked at safeway - watch famous as they use an offshore insurer to underwrite their policy. these underwriting agencies come and go pretty often - they have no long term prospects and are not lookin at their good will reputation. BTY has anyone made a successful total loss claim against Famous yet - in the end you get what you pay for.
-
cul202 - fair call the gtir is not the best lookin car and certainly harder to get parts for. I was referring to specs and performance more - individual throttle bodies, attessa etc
-
i think the performance orientated sr20 pushin a pulsar would be workin about the same as a rb25 pushin the heavier skyline. Bang for your buck the gtir far exceeds the gts-t.
-
do you mean cost in $ or weight. If you are talkin $ then why buy a gts-t when a performane machine like a GTIR could have been had for the same money?
-
You bought a cheap 10sec gtr that runs 13's?? Gears twice the size of a rex - so what! - how much rubber does a rex have in contact with the road thus loading up the gearbox. Should you start running 10's i think then you might see the standard gears are not up to the task as sydneykid pointed out (upgraded synchros and bearings do not strengthen your gears). Engine bay pics on this 10 sec beast and a copy of that time slip with big mph on a slipping clutch please.
