Yes Lithium you are correct BW were premature to release the EFR and now there are a few people on this forum trying to cover it up, and I would be pissed to purchase one to have it explode and destroy my engine.. BW have some serious issues to fix, they acknowledge they have got to fix the impeller problems along with the housing issues, until then stay away from them... For such a large company they sure have shot themselves in the foot...and not doing their PR any good. Im sure in another 2 years time they will have it sorted and they will be the turbo to have that is a given but for now they are a grenade.

Simply the BW EFR is not ready for sale so until it is I think it would be prudent for the moderators to stop defending them until proven. BTW dont worry about the front diffuser Im still waiting for you to let me know about, I got one freighted from Japan.. Dave

Im going to add my view for everyone, I have had a 8474 on order for 3 1/2 months paid for up front from F/R, there is still no word on when it was due to arrive...Full race could not tell me anything, all i got was promises, then I spoke to Mark regards the 9180, looked to be a good thing but it has not lived up to the hype, you will all hear about it soon... hence I have cancelled my order and going to a Garrett. BW have a long way to go if they reckon a 9180 is a 1000hp turbo.. As the tuner of the berry car said, when they freight the turbo out from the US to OZ the salt water must rob the turbo of 300 HP.

I have been down that road, EDTI: I was not happy. I got the whole gear set, billet centre plate and everything else done to the gearbox and had nothing but 2 years of head ache, gearbox was pulled out of the car 6 times, then a law suit to get some money back... I got money eventually but I will personally never go there again... If you want info on them just have a look on the forums... or google.... I went and bought a Holinger have had a great time since.. My advise is do the gear box up and get rid of it..
