  1. Yeah, my worst was recorded with a bad tune and what appears to be a substandard ecu ( when compared to the PFC ). It seems to me that a good tune will not only result in more power and better driveability but also better economy. The car in cruise mode just doesnt have to work as hard. The guys who tuned the PFC on mine worked out that the car in cruise mode only needs about 10kw to keep it moving, I assume at around 100-110 kph.
  2. Just came back from Mildura in my 33 gtr and averaged around 10.5 ltrs per 100 klms. Different story around town ( for some reason I drive it harder in the burbs )and I have never bothered to check the consumption but would drop about 100 klms on a full tank. It's got a PFC, Apexi N1 cat back exh and AVO intercooler. Worst ever was recorded with the old Link ECU and a bad tune. It used 25ltrs to go from Geelong to Ballarat ( approx 90 lkms I think ). I was chasing my mate in his Porsche so it was no economy run but fairly ordinary non the less!
  3. It's called TAX...this has nothing at all to do with road-safety and is liable to cause more accidents than it prevents. You add this to your PAYE, PAYG, GST, Stamp duty (houses and cars), fuel excise, car rego, city link tolls, parking meters, parking fines etc etc etc and you try to live on what you have left and hope there is enough left over to fix the damage done to your car by stones and bad roads cos "they" aint responsible (the only good road in the state is city-link) and we must all be terrible drivers otherwise they wouldn't need the cameras...right? When u think that everything you do costs money and a tax of some sort, where the hell does the money go ?!?! Why can't they put some back into driver education so that we are all actually safer?
  4. Coming in on this one a bit late but thought I'd offer my 2 cents worth. I have had all sorts of dramas getting my GTR tuned properly. I have finally found the guys in Melbourne who know what they are doing. B&M Fuel Systems in Albert St Richmond ( near Duttons ). I am using a PFC. After B&M did their thing the car is completely different. Most of the lag is gone, makes good torque across the rev range and power all the way through to the redline. Drives unbelievably well and fuel economy has improved dramatically! Approx 10 ltrs per hundred on a recent trip to Mildura. The best thing is that these guys are interested in your car after you have paid the bill. They rang me to check how things were going... My experience was good. THought I'd let you know cos so many of my experiences with "experts" have been bad.
  5. COD no worries. Missed a previous question... it is a black screen version, purchased new in 99.
  6. I've checked. There is no g-sensor. RSM comes with a loom that plugs into the ECU. I was using it to by-pass the 180kph limit. Will also give you 0-100, 0-200 and 1/4 mile times, lap times, revs, kph etc
  7. No box or manual. Includes wiring ( came out of my R33 ), will have to check with regards to g-sensor and get back to u. Unit currently with my tuner in Geelong.
  8. Link programable plug in ECU for R33 GTR. Approx. 2 yrs old. $700.00 Apexi rev speed meter, second hand and in good condition, $250.00
