What Should Gauge Number 3 Be?
Hybrid905 replied to Hybrid905's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
why something that hooks up to the narrow band so bad sorry for my ignorance and yeah i know volt gauges arnt that usefull but doesnt r34 have stock oil pressure and isnt the engine temp the oil temp and sorry again for my ignorance this is why i ask the questions :-) -
Hey guys im hopefully doing a triple gauge conversion in my r34 im planning to get some prosport gauges and i know i want an A/F ratio and a Volt gauge so that leaves one more gauge. as my car is NA i dont need a boost gauge so i was thinking an EGT gauge or water temp but the problem is they only make them in Farenheit. so should i just go with that as its not to hard to do the conversion from farenheit to celcius im my head, as i think the gauges are really cool and are meant to be quite accurate or should i maybe get something like a fuel pressure gauge. some opinions would be great. thanks

Any Real Performance Gain From Cold Air Intakes....
Hybrid905 replied to IM-32-FK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey Cara how did you do your CAI piping i see some silicone and some stainless etc can you give more detail. now this may sound like a stupid question but what happens to all the tubes goin into the stock intake pipe when you change it are they unimportant or do you need to find a way to connect them back up. sorry for my ignorance on this topic im still learning :-) Cheers -
What Coilovers For My R34
Hybrid905 replied to Hybrid905's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Cheers julz will look into the greddy's as with the bc coilovers everyone says they are good but I have read that u pay for what u get and the are quite cheap and all the good reports I have read are by people who have owned them for less than 9 months which brings up concerns about the longertivity of bc coilovers that's all -

Cheers anyone heard anything about GReddy type S coilovers -
HAHA AUTO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEVER!!! lol and yeah thats a really good point about powder coating thanks i think i will look into that
-
thanks for that barney. maybe a +38 offset would be enough
-
Yeah its not really a major flare its more of a tiny lip which is bolt on i believe from east bear. its really nice. but i dont want to have to roll my guards. so maybe 18x 8.5s or something
-
Hey everyone i was wondering if people could give me advice on different coilovers for my R34 and which would suit me best. im looking at things like Tein Super Streets or Super Drifts BC coilovers. Greddy Type S. Hks coilovers Etc Please Advise! Cheers Daniel
-
by lip do you mean rolling the guard?? is there anyway around this as i plan to put on east bear wheel arch covers which give it a bit of a flared look and dont think that will work if the guard it rolled
-
yes i understand that im not constantly taking out spark plugs and coil packs.but i like the look of engine without the manifold over the top. and sorry didnt realise gtt still crosses it. so i assume there is nothing that can be done about it without changing it and you reckon losing the low end torque.
-
Hey guys i was wondering if any one out can help. with the intake manifold in a NA as we all know its so annoying as it goes straight across the top of the engine. what i was wondering, is there any way of either putting in a new manifold which moves it to the other side so that it doesn't cross the engine. Can it be done? do you just use something from a GT-t or do you need to buy something from one of the companies like plazmaman etc. anyones 2c is much appreciated!

Hey guys, i know that someone posts this topic every 2 secs but i can never find it. im getting some Work Emotion Xd9 for my 34 looking at getting 18's but thats about all i know for size (im not 2 big on wheel knowledge) should i get 18x8 or 18x9 etc and what offset would be bet on my car so that i dont have to roll guards or anything like that and so they dont rub? thanks in advance for any help

I reckon the most you would get would probably be 1800 with tyres but even that could be wishful thinking. Going on what other people are selling theres for Good luck

Does it crank or is it completley dead

Looks really real nice Paul good find with the weld though I am thinking that the metal may have been torn though not sure how in such a small area it's an interesting one as it's in quite an odd place not usually where u expect to find a repair weld. But just my 2c Good luck -

Passenger Door Won't Lock :(
Hybrid905 replied to TurboDoseBro's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
im thinking that the actual locking mech inside ur passanger door is stuffed so best is to get a replacement if that turns out to be the problem. or it may be just that the mech is jammed pull off ur door trim and have a look to see if i can see anything that looks to be the problem. for a replacement ur probs gonna have to try wreckers. good luck! -
to be fair not really a fan of them but out of the 4 i would also say the bottom right one
