  5. Just a quick random question.. What do you guys recommend in relation to what battery size I should have in my r33 gtst? I also have a PFC command unit that runs everything if that is of any help.. Currently I have a dodgy battery that keeps charge but doesnt have enough power to quiet turn my car over and am thinking that the battery is currently too small?? Cheers
  6. Did think about it but I dont think I could afford the few extra bucks as im already hurting after the last tune and really only wanted to break 200rw lol.. Instead im gonna make up another big basket which will consist of the new turbo (gt3076r), injectors and all then get her done

  8. Thanks DVS32R, I also assume its the tune on the new ecu that has fixed it but it doesnt really matter now Rolls: For where it is at now the AFM is basically maxed out and will have to be the next thing to go closely followed by the injectors
  9. Got her back wednesday Final verdict that it was the terrible exhaust leak from the manifold gasket that was the major cause. Had this all fixed up with a new dump and front pipe inserted aswell. Also had, full tune, FMIC, BOV, manual boost controller, repaired turbo water hose, heat wrapped, flush n bleed of coolant system also done.. After the tune she puts out 222.6rwkw (on 14psi) which I very happy with as I was only hoping to break 200.. runs very smooth now and has a lot more aggression

  11. Changed plans.. picking up on wednesday.. will let all know what the result is then.. As for the tune I actually purchased a PFC (as well as other bolt on parts) so it can all be done properly and actually worth while.. I also thought that an exhaust leak wouldnt cause this but thats what im currently being told. I believe the leak was from the manifold gasket but all the bolts on the exhaust had come loose apparently?? Will know alot more when I actually go to pick her up so will update then.. Cheers
  12. In the shop as we speak... Been told it was just a bad exhaust leak and all my gaskets had been burnt out and it was getting confused or something.. getting the new tune and all fixed up by start of next week, will let u all know what the solution was
  13. Hey guys, Just an update. I've booked my car into a decent mechanic finally to fix whatever problem I have (suspected vacuum leak I can not find). But just wondering what does it mean when I disconnect the AFM? I disconnected it and the idle started to change then stalled seconds later? Cheer. Hopefully she'll be up and going soon
  14. Hey guys, Just a quick question regarding finding vacuum leaks. I've done a bit of research and have found that for vacuum leaks that don't make an obvious sound the best way is to use a spray pack to find the correct spot which is found when the gas enters the intake and changes or smoothens the rough idle speed. My question is what do I use? Alot of people say use starter fluid/carb cleaner/propane , which of these is best and will obviously steady the idle speed? Reason I'm asking is that my car currently is suspected to have a leak somewhere as it is pooring alot of black smoke and idles anywhere between 0-1.5g and therefore seems to be burning too much fuel and before I take it to my tuner to get fixed and a new tune done id like a crack at finding it myself so I can actually drive it there.
