  1. hey guys just wondering what is the better option. I know people say that there is minimal if any top end hp difference but ive also herd that cats also help with the exhaust flow through turbulence etc. Is this true? and if it were wouldnt a high flow cat be alot better for the car all round rather than a de-cat? Just wondering because ive just purchased a decat and wondering whether it was the right choice to go for a straight through 3" pipe (not counting the high flow muff before the cannon at the back)?   2. spotted r33 S2 in belmont geelong today, very similar to mine but had a funny looking spoiler and f**ked front kit. Was an all round very rough cop. Hope it performs better than it looks. lol

Furthermore, Im currently installing my intercooler (currently keeping the stock boost pressures in place) so I need to purchase some new vacuum hose lines to connect onto the stock 'T' piece to the intercooler (or plenum). But am unsure on what internal size I will need so it will still fit on the stock 'T' piece?

  8. Hey all, Been doing plenty of research trying to get my basket to near perfect. Planning to collect all parts one by one and install most of them all at once. My aim is to go past 300rwkw but not too far past. Want it set up for mostly street with plenty at the lights lol and for the occasional track race. My basket includes atm; Greddy oil cooler kit Power Fc boost controller or HKS boost controller (open to options) HKS twin plate clutch kit + flywheel TOMEI PONCAM RB25 R33(-97.9) NVCS camshafts Cam gears (open to options) ECU power fc Z32 Airflow Meter Bosch 044 fuel pump Greddy Genuine Intake Plenum Nismo 555cc Injectors (open to options) GT3076R 56 Trim Turbocharger kit .82 rear Greddy Trust MX Front pipe 3" CAT CONVERTOR (or decat) Coilovers (open to options) swaybars 6boost manifold to suit Gt30 turbos castor rods Gauges I'm also looking to buy all these all the time so if selling any hell out. Unsure whether i'm going to keep the rb25 full setup or eventually convert it with a rb30 bottom end although it has been suggested to me that I could use a forged piston and ring set from RacePace motorsport Australia and use GTR rods and a new GTR crank. So basically it would be a 26 with a 25 head. Any thoughts??

  10. also ive herd that u can just relocate the vacuum pipe to another location such as near the blow off vavle, is this true? and would it effect the boost?
  11. would the nipple bit i need just be found at any local auto store? what diameter etc would it need to be?
  12. would it just be better to get someone to weld in a new nipple piece onto the aftermarket intercooler piping?

  15. Just installing my intercooler today and was looking at what work is involved and was wondering where the vacuum hose is supposed to go after you install the new piping which doesnt have the same exit out of it? does a hole need to be drilled into the piping? or can it be blocked? cheers
