Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them
BundyBear replied to ZigenGT's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Car: R33 GTST (slightly above standard power) + Hicas Driving style: kinda heavy 4 the street (no burnouts, just oversteer), no track ... yet KU31'z on the back $245 each Grip : 5/10 good 4 'normal' driving (wet or dry) slight second gear spin Wear : dunno 3 weeks old drift well, fairly 4giving BUT they HOWL like barstards as soon as you loose grip Maxis MA-v1 on rear $225 each (6mths ago) Grip: 5/10 Similar to the KU31z , a bit better straight line grip but a bit less in the corners ( & no howl). Give less grip while drifting than the Kumoz, so a little less 'confident' Wear: 6/10 used 55-60% in 9 mths( on rear), now swaped 2 front Maxis MA-v1 on front Grip : 5/10 Grips fine, no understeer, However ABS seems 2 kick in kinda early ?? Wear : a lot slower now I suspect Nankang somethings Scary shit only good 4 burnouyts 0/10 ALL round -

MP-R33 I'm pretty sure, I've looked a few of these up. I know Fast DOES Specify if a vin is vspec, howevey FAST is not perfect, there are a couple of errors and this vehicle may be one of those I'd sujest do'n a search on SAU, there are pages dedicated to decoding the model number ( I thing certain Chars could equate to Vspec, but can't remember anymore, ) beyond that get a vspec owner to look the car ova, they are more likley to spot any little that may be out
-
Sorry dude doesn't seen to be V spec (33's list as GTR/V, the vin just shows GTR) Cheerz Bundy EDIT Ogsm BCNR33-000102 also comes up invalid 4 me

Spotted a Black S1 33 at Tuggerah bout 2:40pm rego BRB??? or similar -
Rus I'd start with the wipers (cheaper) and swap the brain (black box), I think its under the dash if that works replace the aircon controls in the dash sounds like it might be an $$$ journey though bundy
-
Rus I'd start by checking All fuses (3 lots), the fuseable links (best done with a multimeter), I fear if the overcharging was bad some of the 'black' boxes throughout the car might have issues though OR you may have some melted wires under the dash (check round the firewall where space is tight and the heat gets traped, behind the stereo/aircon may be worth a look to) couple of Q's does the car run OK, ie is the ECU OK is there anything you can do to make the wipers either:- come on, or blow the fuse. Or is it random cheers bundy

Dont mean to be argumentative there Chris but my S2 33 don't do any of that or is it a standard feature of the stock immobeliser/remote CDL??? if so he might be able 2 clip the speed input to the immobeliser box, maybe... or upgrade to a decent alarm cheers bundy

Avinash I got a dark grey 33 S2 2dr GTst, some pics in my profile wouldn't mind a day out (mrs just had 2nd kid) could bring my tripod if you don't have one( they are a must) , I also get a couple of large stuff bits of cardboard and cover with allyfoil form the kitchen ( just dodge the mrs), they are great 4 lighting dark areas like front bars also have a mate with a black one that migh tag along couple of good tips pages I come across http://www.cobracountry.com/fototips/ http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/..._phr/index.html cheers let us know

Rian step1 32s have a fuse & a 'fuseable link' (in the boot for coupes) this link could be the cause, it looks like about 6cm of wire looped on a plug (around the boot fuses) step 2 when you say you have all earths on the IGN switch, does this include the common (or BATT terminal) if batt terminal is ground then the switch isn't the cause, poke round the boot fuses with a test light and let us know what, if any, has power if batt term, has power but none of the other terminals get any, in any key position, the switch has probably azzholed itself (may be worth puling apart, if possible, and havn a look) let uz know cheerz bundy

Anf sorry man only lists ABS and a lot of jap my pc cand handle you might have betta luck HERE cheers Bundy

Guy no one will give you assurances on what is stolen software, this is nissans internal program, and while fairly accurate it DOES contain SOME SMALL faults. while FAST wiil give details on a cars options (paint color, ABS, A_LSD, etc) it is mainly for looking up part numbers, therefore should not be relied on souley as for compliance plates, Blue = orig nissan plate (note the 6U9000 is missing..) green is the australian import plate given FAST and nissans plate list the same paint color, I'd guess thats the original color Car passed compliance 08/2002 (Green Plate) and therefore was imported before this date (usually only weeks B4 but could have been anytime) cheers

Electric Window Question
BundyBear replied to show.it.off's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As far as I'm aware the window motor is just that. The motor that moves the window. The window regulator is the guides and levers that go between the motor and the glass. Some people may include the windows motor as a part of the window regulator cheerz n beerz Bundy -
Cheers Bundy

sorry there kimbod but FAST seems to think you got a GTR V-Spec there not an N1 Cheers Bundy

hey Ash the pioneer is rates at 150W x 2ch @14.4V 2Ohm 0.4% THD so the amp will take the 2Ohm could but 300W amp and 250W Sub ,, hhmmm although given you get exactly the same power in bridged mode (300W x 1 @ 14.4V 4Ohm 0.4%THD) and less potential issues, I'd bridge the apm and wire the sub coils in series my 2 cents cheers Bundy

I think your on to sometheing there, had a look at Motor Traders (known verified info), looks like all 32 GT-R and GT-R Vspec (including V spec II) have ABS as standard, main options are fog lamps, drivers airbag and rear wiper in later models cheers
