Selling My Stagea In Aussie
GTRWAGON replied to pure_methamphetamachine's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
No offense intended, but I wouldn't be selling anything in the current financial climate. Its a buyers market, which basically means everyone's broke LOL There's a guy at carlsales.com selling a 260RS for $37,500. That car has been advertised (from memory when I noticed it) for at least 6 months, probably longer, and it started off, from memory at $45,000 (don't quote me on that though) Granted he may not have done half the stuff you have, but finding a buyer in this climate, who knows ... Good luck, I hope you not only find someone, but you get a fair price for it too. Me? I'd be holding onto it. That is of coarse unless I win lotto, then I'd just by whatever I want and extend the garage -
Welcome to the 260RS club The good thing about the 260rs is if you decide you want to go berserk modding, there is almost unlimited options. I've modded mine and am running some nice killer wasps, not to mention there are plenty of after market options for kits, wheels and my favourite ...GIZMO'S! First thing I did when I got mine was dump the front seats and replaced them with some nice R33GTR ones. Next was to dump the standard rims and grab a set of nice R34GTR rims covered with Kumho KU36 semi slicks. Next was Tomei cams and cam gears, timing belt and swapped the regular diff for a R34GTR LSD. Trust front mount intercooler, replaced the standard radiator with a nice GReddy radiator and Greddy catch can and GReddy oil cooler. Apexi ECU and a tune and she was purring like a kitten. Done a bunch of other stuff as well, too much to go into detail, just making it more to my style with bits and pieces I find around the net. You'll not regret your purchase one bit. Fantastic vehicle. I was so impressed with it, as I originally bought mine (like yourself) as a daily run about. But after a few short weeks of driving I was SO impressed with it, I sold my R23GTR and decided the 260RS was the keeper. If you like it now, like I did when I first got mine, wait till you do decide to mod, the car goes from WOW to OMFG!

Defected! Apparently It "sticks Out Like Dogs Balls"
GTRWAGON replied to -RBD2-'s topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Why do you say you where a dickhead and its all your fault? Big deal you had a squirt. Mate I say better luck next time and I hope the gestapo ooops I mean the cops don't catch you. Why the attitude you ask? Simply its easier to walk around these days armed with a knife, stab someone and get away with it, than driving a feaking motor vehicle. And quite frankly I am not falling for this propaganda justification for revenue raising. That's the bottom line. They full well know (Govt) they tread a very thin line with the general public with this blatant revenue raising addiction, therefor "appear" to be doing something about "road safety" by picking on the lowest common denominator - young people. Sell your car, join a gang and take your frustrations out on some poor innocent on Saturday night. You're guaranteed to get away with it. Why? Cops are on the streets looking for murderers doing 5kmh over the limit. How crazy is that? Making our streets safer? Walk through the city on a Saturday night and tell me how safe you feel. I can drive from one end of town to the other all night long. Am I surrounded by people going through red lights? even before red light camera's where installed everywhere? Am I surrounded by "hoons" doing burnouts, even before these justification laws for revenue raising where in place? The answer is NO! But this propaganda machine will have you believe if they weren't out there keeping us all safe from the murderous "hoons" we'd all be dead going for a drive on a Saturday night. When the truth is you've got more chance of being bashed WALKING! on a Saturday night. Cops aren't cops anymore, and I feel sorry for the one's who joined the police force to help their communities. How frustrated must they be joining the force with dreams of making a difference, stopping crime, keeping our streets safe. REALLY safe from REAL crime. That's the whole point of a police force isn't it? Don't get me wrong, there are dickheads on the road, real dangerous morons who need to be dealt with. They've always been around in every generation of drivers. But what harm is there making a few hundred million dollars along the way? I've spent some serious hard earned money on my vehicle. My braking and suspension alone set me back many thousands of dollars. My vehicle handles and brakes better than most cars on the road. And for this, I am a target. Instead of spending my money on drugs, going out on a Saturday night getting drunk and playing up, I choose to love my car. My friends and I stay out of trouble by spending most times together working on each others cars. Like a little club, in the garage not hurting anyone. No drugs, no violence, just some mates hanging out together sharing a common interest. But as soon as we hop in our vehicles and go for a drive, the paranoia starts. And that's the state its got too. Its not a case of "if you stick to the rules, you'll be right" that's total BS! If you drive a Toyota Camry and stick to the rules you may be right, IF you constantly keep an eye on that speedo. But if you drive a modified vehicle, you are a target. No if's or buts about it. You're a hoon, don't try to dent it. You're a danger to society."And we WILL catch you" .... I mean come on, we have to justify our multi-million dollar business somehow. We've got to appear like we're making a difference. The thought of loosing this cash cow is unimaginable, hundreds of millions of dollars of FREE money! come on what would you do? Make no mistake folks, this is BIG money, BIG business. That's the bottom line. Fines, fines and more fines .... Cha ching! We'll end up with the safest streets in the world, make no mistake. Just don't walk down them ... -
Just out of interest I went to carsales.com.au to have a geez at what Stagea's are going for these days. RS260's going around the $20+K mark? RS4s going for cheap as chips? WTH is going on here? Its criminal whats happened to prices these days. When I look at the prices of other vehicles and what you get for your hard earned, a Stagea should be twice as much. I'm a little shocked to see such great cars practically being given away.
-
LOL Yes we do and we like it!
-
The main thing is you walked away unharmed. The Stagea's 5 Star safety rating shines again. The black one looks great.
-
Purely based on the "pick up chicky babes" factor - I would rate it a sure FAIL!
-
I agree with DirtyRS4 MIKE's parts a WAY too expensive. He really should ask for a lot less for them. (secret plan to get MIKE to lower prices so I can buy more stuff) hehehe
-
I've been chasing a HKS Kansai Strut brace for about 12 months. Can't find one anywhere. I originally seen them on Nengun, but the guy I had correspondence with there said he could not guarantee the R33 brace would fit the Stagea. Still looking ....

This looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Found A Mines Ecu For Auto/manual Rs4 Forsale!
GTRWAGON replied to chef_stagea's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My old R32GTR had a Mines ECU, and I always use to run top fuel AND a bottle of Martini's octane boost with every fill up. I still use octane boost with every fill on the Stag, but its a much smaller tank, so I only use half a bottle Can get quite pricey though .... -
Yup they are a custom made set including angel eyes, that I got from Japan.
-
No idea what my kit is called. Someone told me once what they thought it was, but I forgot.
-
I actually laughed out loud
-
Do it! I promise you wont regret owning a 260RS There's not a lot to say about the Stagea. Negatives? Its often mistaken for a Volvo Its got handling, its got power, its got room and its got style! What more could you ask for in a family car? Oh yeah, its got a 5 star safety rating and is without a doubt a very well constructed vehicle.

What Is The Rarest Stag Part You Have Or Seen?
GTRWAGON replied to dirtyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I got a few rare items on the 260RS. Not necessarily genuine Nissan parts, but ....different I have one of these speedo/compass/clock thinga-me-bobs that I don't use. My modded S1 angle eye headlights. My gearstick that tells me what gear I'm in because I always forget -
Will R34 Gtt Manual Wheel Fit S1 Stagea?
GTRWAGON replied to dirtyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
It should fit. I have a R34GTR steering wheel in my S1 -
Its just not worth it these days. The pain of losing license and or car does not equal the satisfaction I'd get pumping some twit.

I'am Now A Proud Owner Of A Stagea 260rs
GTRWAGON replied to e-clip's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Yeah I had similar problems with mine. It came from Japan with some HKS triple plate clutch that was a pain in the a*s to drive. Did some searching and ending up getting a single plate Nismo coppermix or something. AWESOME clutch! My 260RS is now around 270kW and it handles the power easy. But best is city driving, I can sit in second and come to almost a standstill, and it don't stall. Real easy on the foot too. +1 for the Nismo Coppermix clutch. -
