17 Meshie Wheels, Fairly New Tyres
Kenny80 replied to Kenny80's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Sorry for the delay, had to raise my ride height and dinner! Okay, nothing on the inside to say width or offset so measured them my self. Front are 230mm (9") wide (outside to outside of rim) and are +32 offset. 147mm from inside of rim to inner mounting face. Rears are 256mm(10") wide with +37 offset. 165mm from inner rim to inside mounting face. I'm not sure if that's how u calculate width and offset, but I have give u the measurement incase I am wrong. Pics now attached -

Open to offers guys. Would like these gone this weekend!! -
I want to get 5 spokes for my car so selling the wheels on my car at the moment. They are 17" Weds Kranze ERM. Tyres are 235 45 all round and have been on less than 1,000km but they aren't anything special, just cheapies. Rears are slightly stretch Unsure of offset and exact width at the moment but I will have a look when I take the rims off and take decent pics of the rims. All have slight rash so they are definitely not a perfect set. Only pics I have at the moment are of the car but u get the idea of fitment and looks. Front has 25mm spacers and rears just 5mm. I will get a close up pics and more info on offset and width during the day tomorrow. Thought I would just get the ball rollin'. I'm located in Adelaide. Gepps Cross during business hours and Gawler after or weekends. Looking at $750 ono Ph: 0433603333

Thanks lads, great help! I live 45kms north of Adelaide but hey beggers can't be choosers! I don't mind driving down south to grab the suspension, just pm me your address and what you want/need for the loan? Chef- Is your suspension for an RS V? Thanks all -
I'm just planning ahead- I don't really want to buy one but does anyone in SA have a stock Series 2 exhaust they want to lend to me? Turbo back ideally. Car is RWD if that matters? Also need stock shocks Front and Rear. Unless someone can confirm S15's will definitely fit as I already have these in the shed. I will probably need toward the end of next week. Thanks!

Wtb- Rs V Stock Shocks- F+r
Kenny80 replied to Kenny80's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey Mike, thanks for the reply mate. Good to hear that S14/S15 might work out on the RWD stag. I just remembered that I've actually got a set of front struts from my old S14 that I can try out. Shouldn't be hard finding some rears though NS.com I just want to make sure that I've got back up shocks in case I ever get sent to regency pits! Instead of hunting them down last minute. PS- need to grab that grille one day this week or the weekend -
Thanks for the reply Damo. Is it possible for compiance workshop to let some things slip??? I found out the car has coilovers but he (import broker) said that they would stay on and would not be taken off. I was under the impression that the coilys had to be removed for complaince. I am assuming any dodgy activity would mean removal from RAWS?? or penalties at least??

Just read tier 2 and it does sound more like this path. At least it's not the pits!

I will give them a buzz tomorrow, thought I would post something online in case someone has gone through this exact process. I went on the sa.gov website tonight but couldn't find a clear answer. It kind of reads that if the car has no rego, you just simply do the following thigs- Step 1: Download and complete an application for registration and third party insurance Step 2: Return the completed application to a Service SA customer service centre. But not sure if it is really going to be this easy... I bloody hope it is

Hey guys, Highly likely I will be buying a freshly imported car very soon. Car has just landed in Oz and will soon be in the compliance shop. Buying through an import broker in VIC. He mentioned that the car won't have any rego but it will be complied. He can organise a permit so I can drive the unrego'd car from VIC to SA. My question is when I am ready to get the car rego'd in SA, does it have to go through Regency (pits) or just an ID check? I know that if the car was rego'd in a different state eg. VIC/NSW in someone's name, it only has to go through the ID section and not pits. I personally went through this process myself approx 4 months ago. I've tried to do a search but couldn't find any specific answers. There are plenty of info on swapping rego from different state but nothing on a car that has never been rego'd before. How does it work when a car is complied in SA? Does the car go through Regency pits to get rego'd? Or is the pits purely for defects? Thanks all!

Does anyone have stock shocks all round for an RS V? Can anyone confirm what other shocks will fit this car? If any.

Thanks to everyone fir their input... Plenty of food for thought!

Yes very valid point mate

Also, what is so special about the Prime Edition? I know obvious things like leather, woodgrain etc but would like to know more please

Thanks for the feedback mate. I understand that a C34 will be slower than the Legnum but was just curious as to how a rear wheel powered C34 will measure up againts a Legnum. I think there is 100kg difference between a RS-4 and Legnum, therfore without the Stags Altessa gear (which I believes is about 100kg) both vehicles will be on par in terms of kerb weight. I also believe that a Legnum's twin snail set up will help with responsiveness over a RS-V/RS-4.
-
I have been tossing between a Stagea and a Legnum for ages now. I think I have come to the conclusion that a C34 Stagea is the car I want. I just wouldn't mind some feedback from Stag enthusiasts to help me lock in my decision. Firstly, I have my eye on an RS-V. I have been told that an RS-V is about 100kg lighter than an RS-4. Therefore, I am thinking that an RS-V will be quicker off the line than a heavier RS-4. Also as an RS-V is approximately 100kg lighter than a RS-4, does this mean that performance wise, an RS-V will be nearly as responsive as a Legnum? I have read that Legnums are much more responsive than a Stag but I am assuming this comparison is with a RS-4. How much more fuel efficient is an RS-V? The car I am keen on is fitted with an Auto trans, so I will eventually get some work done to get a shift kit fitted. Improve more responsiveness down low. Finally, I am not sure whether I should definitely go with a rear wheel compared to a 4 wheel drive Stag. I am not going to use this vehicle as a Drifter nor do I really need the traction of a 4 wheel drive system. Can anyone give me a reason why you have chosen a RWD or AWD?

Need to sell or swap my S14 for a Stagea/Legnum or similar style station wagon, van or ute of the same value. Car is located in Adelaide Price is $7,500 FIRM Basically I go bike riding a fair bit and thought my bike would fit into my 200 when I bought it. I've owned it for about 2 months and realised how much of a pain it is to pull the bike apart just to make it fit inside the car. So really need the cash to buy a more practical car. My 200 is (nearly) stock as a rock. Pretty much a blank canvas for someone keen to build up a streeter/drift. E.g- No point paying the extra $$ if you are intending to do a colour change! I'll be honest with u though, only thing letting the car down is that the clear coat has peeled on the roof and boot, otherwise paint is good and very straight. Car is a 96 ADM turbo model. Just sports and not luxury. Body has done about 160,000km and motor about 80,000km. Interior is neat and clean, no tears or holes, everything works including the ice cold A/C. Most km's has been done on highway. Previous owner lived in SA but worked in QLD mine site and every now and again he would drive to Adelaide or Brisbane. To cut a long story short, my mates brother blew the original motor, hence replacing with a low km motor. This was all replaced by a Jap Import workshop in QLD. Unfortunately, my mate (who I bought the car off) didn't keep the receipts! I took the car through regency about 2 month ago to get a rego swap from QLD to SA. Just took the 3inch exhaust off and replaced with a standard one, no problems at all. Approx 2 or so weeks ago Smooth Garage fitted a new HD clutch (organic), flywheel machined, fresh gear oil, new slave and master cylinder. Only basic mods- 3" Turbo back- All stainless steel, split dump, decat, cannon Pod filter HD Clutch Basic stereo- CD player, amp, sub, 6x9, Turbo Timer Any mechanical checks welcome. I know I haven't owned it that long but I've always filled with PULP and used fully synthetic oil when serviced. I've got a quote to spray the imperfections and doesn't really cost much to fix. So not much $$ get it looking shmick! I've got a written quote. If it doesn't sell as is, I will get the car painted up and try to sell again but obviously I will be asking few grand more.
