  1. hi guys, just after some possible knowledge and advise. since putting in fmic and boost controller ive been having troubles with missing and pinging, the missing i thought may have been spark plugs or coils, so i checked the spark plugs and they were 6EIX-11's.. which i then re gapped to .8 mm and that helped alot with the missing, but it still does it in the higher rev range. im also noticing that the motor pings a fair bit in the higher rev range. i have read that maybe the number 6 spark plugs could be too hot... does any one know if this is correct? im only getting missing at around 13 psi and above... any advise is greatly appreciated cheers brad
  2. hahaha started to take the turbo off today, when i took the heat shield i noticed that the actuator rod had slipped of the wastegate lever thing, so the wastegate was permanantly open... haha i was so stoked when it only cost me a dollar for a new C clip to fix, i thought that i would need a new turbo... silly me thank for everyones help anyways
  3. sorry PM-R33 could have sworn i read he had hi flowed turbo, went back and read it was only standard... my bad... 190 is about right for standard turbo

  5. go the HKS GT-RS, its good for 250rwkw with supporting mods, and heaps better response than all those other 500hp turbos your talking about, bolts straight up to standard manifold and dump too
  6. id put you in at around the 210 to 220 kw with those mods you listed, and a good tune of course

  8. check your AFM mate, could be letting voltage through too easy hence telling computer that there is more airflow than what is actually occuring
  9. HKS do the strait bolt up turbos mate, GT-RS (2530) is good for 250kw at wheels and good response too
  10. yeah 34 coolers are flow 200kw quite easily. ive actually seen them flow slighly more with supporting mods
  11. hey thanks for your help guys. I think its the turbo because if it was the piping, the turbo would spool and it would make a leaking noise. But im getting no spooling noise at all. It sound like an NA. it just weird that it happened because like i wasnt working the turbo hard or anything i was just driving along casually. Plus its only ever run standard boost. Hmmm. Ah well. Hi everyone, just wondering if somebody may be able to help diagnose my problem, i have a fair idea that the turbo has probably shit itself, but ill list what has happened anyway, ok so i was just driving along... turbo just started to come onto boost (only 3 or 4 pound at this stage) then i heard a slight pop, and ever since then there is just no boost at all, mods to the car are only light, 3 inch turbo back exhaust with split dump, and pod filter, still running standard intercooler any help is greatly appreciated guys! thanks, brad

Hi guys, just wanting to upgrade my turbo soon, just looking for some advise on what to do. should i go the cheapish option and find a secong hand RB25 turbo? what sort of power can you expect with that turbo upgrade? or go like a brand new turbo, 2530, 2871R... something like that? or other models, and what sort of power levels can be expected with these turbos? dont want to have to upgrade the standard manifold or dump if possible advise is greatly appreciated! cheers, Brad

Hi guys, im new to this website and this is my first post ive just bought a 32 GTS-t and im looking into getting a new dump/front pipe and hi flow cat, i was just wonering about the cat however, there are heaps of 3 inch "Hi Flow" cats available ranging from $160 to about $400. i was just wanting to get some advise on which one to purchase. i can get a catco 3" hi flow cat for around $175 or then i can get a catco 3" hi flow metal race cat for $379 does any one know what the difference in performance is, and is it worth the extra $200+ dollars any advice is greatly appreciated, cheers, Brad
