  1. Also I have removed the standard clutch fan and radiator so now running twin 12 inch thermo fan and alloy radiator with the switching control of the fans. I could not believe how quick the car built revs after the change .... must of had a considerable load on the old wore out clutch fan
  2. I have a N1 Nissan Genuine Pump now and restrictor in the galleries to the head so considering the primary usage of the motor to be street so sustained High rpm will not be a REALISTIC option. (Training to be a cop so High Range Speed Fine and HOONING would not look good). Running ACL Race Bearings so with good maintenence I am imagining it will be fine. If I go drag racing or circuit I am going to run an oil cooler and a litre extra oil as safety because that is how the guys on here tend to manage it. I have oil pressure and temp gauges now too!
  3. New Pics Currently awaiting initial start up on Monday :-)
  4. Could be a hose off on the intake as well, reset the ecu and see if it starts (unhook battery terminal + and stand on brake pedal to drain charge then reconnect terminal)
  5. Getting my stock cams refinished/ground this week $290 for the pair.
  6. As for studs I had one stuck in with loctite from the previous owner haha no wonder the back two cylinders had no exhaust gasket left I pulled the stud out with my fingers
  7. Haha I like it! I'm the same I'll give it a chop and have a go if I don't think I'll stuff anything expensive after a bit of reading but I have no probs calling someone to fix it
  8. GT30R Front with a gt28r core and avo turboworld custom rear housing purchased off a friend. His Stagea made 277kw ATW on 18psi stock 2.5 NEO with almost stock throttle response so will be very interested as is my friend with the result on essentially a 2.7 On that am I right to think it is close to a 2.7 as it is a 2.6 with a 1 mm oversize bore and 1.2 hgasket?
  9. Yeah it spun a big end bearing and lost oil pressure as you can see the rings were shagged. Price difference was exactly that $4000 more total to do things right first time. Head had 3 bent valves 2 exhaust and 1 inlet I believe so they were replaced along with uprated springs. Machinist called it a overhaul and refresh described as "what should be done" by my builder not a no expense spared porting they flow well from the factory just time spent making sure it's as good as it can be.
  10. Spool Imports Rebuild Kit supplied Ross Pistons 8.5:1 1mm oversize which was available instock the other was the CP in 8.5:1 but they didnt have the 1mm oversize instock. I wanted 9.0:1 but cost factors and the excellent deal Spool did me was to hard to pass up. My machinist and engine build have managed to get it back to between 9.1-9.2:1 by decking the head and block surface. Its a streeter and I didnt want to run 20+psi on the way to work or home at night lol tired I still think I might get a bigger turbo and run some big numbers later but as a daily street car 280kw with positive boost at 3000 was my aim.
  11. Here are some Pics off the new and machined pieces Oh and the DEAD PISTONS
  12. There is a good DIY on forward facing Plenums just search I read it the other day
  13. I stroked my RB25 to 26 retaining the 25 head. Head Decked with new valve springs and replacement $1450 Cash Nissan OEM RB26 Crank $1450 Machine Block & ARP Studs $1700 Forged Piston and Spool Rod Rebuild Kit RB26 ( including Bearings and Head Gasket ) spoolimports.com $2250 Nissan OEM Engine Gasket Kit $375 Labour at mates rates about $700 to $1000 $8225 If you machine your crank about $500 so I went new
  14. Yeah I have spoken to my tuner and he is confident with them. My mate is running it in his R31 RB30 With T67 and has recommended it. I havent bought it yet but the price is right = Cheap lol I have read a few threads about the Vipec and link ecus but I just feel more comfortable with the adaptronic because of my friends recommendations and consulting with my tuner. Thanks mate
