i bought mine from power road and never had an issue... a bit pricy compared to private but it was straight import, stock as a rock... If u got the cash, go there, its gotten bigger now and the dudes know there stuff...

Yesssss!! I wouldnt say a driving test is necessary, but at least an online test or something with new road rules just so peeps actually remember that U turns must give way, u must indicate and maintain speed when lane changing, keep youre line in and out when turning at the lights, not being a dickhead when you see a N/A skyline and trying to drag it even though you have a GTR, etc etc etc... LOL

Yeah i know that they flash towards cars, but the question is, is it legal? Cos there are some dodgy setups that these mobile speed cameras do, but cos its only 4-10km/s over, 1point and a 180odd fine people dont contest it for being illegally setup up (Too much trouble on taking it too court)... But I guess ive been watching too much ACA and hearing too many rumors...

So will you get a fine if this happens? Cos ive heard mixed stories... My dad recently got booked for doing 4km/h over and the camera flashed to his eyes, he paid the fine and stuff when he got it but a lot of people say he should of contested it cos its illegal (Police didnt give me an exact answer when asked, and solicitors just wanted money)...

Ive only seen the flash ones mounted on the cars front bar in the South East, but havnt seen the infrared ones yet, besides the ones that check for rego that then further down the road you have like 2 to 5 cop cars waiting to get on the chase..

Ive heard of cases that people have gotten away with fines from cameras flashing you in the eyes at night cos they pose a safety risk and you may crash... But I have also heard alot of stuff that isnt true...

The laws go weird with this case cos: -No/Invalid Plates = FINE and points I think -Driving manual on a auto license = FINE So can you drive manual on p's with an instructor next to you? Would that be going against the law since when you get on p's there is no such thing as instructor, example: you cant have an instructor next to you to drive turbo's/v8's on p's.... Grrrr, guess calling up vic roads is the best way...

Yeah I saw it when I was entering the car park for the beach... Never been around there at night, its was nice and quite until a SS tried to drift around the turn over and over and over again... I would say it depends on the officer... Just like how they pull u over for random breath tests and pop the bonnet while there at it looking for defects instead of pulling over cars with only 1 head light or tail light...

Just called them up and what they said was if u get ur license before 21 u will have 1 year of red p's... so if u get ur license the day before ur 21st bday then ull cop the year on reds... I guess that means that someone exactly the same age as me (21) but with no road expirience gets less restrictions then me if the get there license today... how can this work out?? load of crap really...

When did she get her learners? was it ages ago before the red p's law came out?? Cos i tried everything, i tried to wait until 21 but then the new law came out, i tried to get it converted to green when i turned 21 and they told me nahh EDIT: Just found it in one of vic roads pdf's... If you are over 21 you go straight one... Humm i better recheck my case then cos since april im 21 and they told me nah, u gotta stay on ur reds! grrrr...

There is no such thing as Straight to green p's now unless you are still under the old law before July 2007 I think (If you got your learners before that date then yes you would go straight on)... I know this cos I called them up and they told me something like that! Im 21 and still on my red p's cos I did the stupid thing of not getting my license when I lived in portugal!! failll And the law has changed, red p platers arnt allowed from the age of 16 to 22 which was previously 16 to 21...

prediction is people that get there cars impounded will just get a family member or a mate to buy it back if it doesnt get crushed... Or if you saw u got flashed doing more the 45km/h, you will have around 28days before the cops knock on your door to pick it up so you might just sell it and say you had no idea... So many dodgy ways to get around... Saw a white r34 coupe parked at hallam station... Looked lonely! Lol just saw a white r33 drive by with sau stickers at narre station... Plates was something like sxyr33...

I am not sure... I will try to measure when i get home later tonight... I remember something about the front being +25mm and the back being +50mm but cannot confirm at the moment...
