I think we need to turn this into a positive guys, instead of bitching and moaning about how they're inncorrectly stereotyping import drivers with false information and innacurate reporting. We should be putting pressure on the officials to subsidise legal off the street meets, we have people dieing because they have no place to race in a safe environment without spending big dollars. And Until the government learns there's more then one way to solve a problem via fines and crack downs, more people will fall to the same fate. I am so sick and tired of all the negativity that surrounds anyone with any sort of performance vehicle, this comes for inncorrect reporting like the article i've just wasted the last 3 minutes reading. I really think we all need to start acting and not sitting down anymore. Find a rival newspaper and send them a story, write your own and give it to them. Otherwise tell them what's going on. We need to get things going before things get worse.

This weekend at the convention center. I dun know junior, i'll see what happens, might rock out on saturday, see what goes. I've still got the ticket from DC, it's only like $3, but damn it, thats good enough for me.

Well if you get an rb25 that's putting out over 300kw's, you could then either sell the parts and return it to stock, or sell the whole motor. Then go the Rb26.

Tze, ever since the mid 70's, the government have cracked down on big V8's, when ford went to Release the Phase IV GTHO, it was banned, the government put a stop to the whole thing because it was too fast and too powerful. (Don't know horsepower, but it had a top speed of 160mph, which for it's day was damned quick) The Phase III GTHO was the fastest 4 Door Production car of it's time, and the Phase IV would of killed it. Ever since then, the public image of V8's went down, till in the mid 80's they were basically pissed out the window, and when they turned to fuel injection the only aussie V8's (Holdens) were pretty poor. Ford even stopped producing V8's. It's only been the last few years that HSV have started producing high HP V8's (AND THEY SUCK :lol: :lol: :lol:), ford have no followed suit and the new BA falcons are looking to be some pretty tidy performance cars. V8's are just starting to really get moving (New ones) and over the next few years will only get faster, and better quality cars.

I'm not with, nor never really looked into this thing, but from what i've heard, one of the other things is that the car has to be like under 5 or 6 years old, and once it reaches that age it's basically out of the thing. Make sure you check that.

Like I said, to each his own, any car can be made into a top car, some have more potential then others, others stock, are better then others. It all comes down to personal preference, i'll take a crack at anything if it's got the goods, unless it's got a holden badge on it, then it'd have to be very very impressive to impress me.

Oh god, own a skyline, love V8's, is there any easy answer ??? No, both have their strong points, and places in the scale of things. I havn't read the article so i can't say much. But what I can say is....Twin Cam, Inline Turbo'd 6 YEAH BABY!!! Oh wait, i forgot, it's a 4.0L and it's in an XR6 I think RB26DETT was being a little bit over exhuberant with his title, but what the hell, each to his own.

Well we havn't actually got any members to organise stuff yet, we've been organising who gets the lunches and stuff, that's about it. Cootha would be a good idea, as it's pretty straight forward to get there, and simple to get from there to willowbank. If anyones interested, then we can organise something from there.

I hired it out, it's pretty fun. The story line thing is nice, and it's not hard to get into. Can't believe they called it V8 Supercar Driver though, there's barely any V8's in it, probably cause it's the only actual licensed series in the game that I can see.
