Even if we record how our event goes and how its better than getting hammered in the city, they will still compare us to hoons...the main issue here is that the public dont know the main difference of who is a car enthusiast and who is a hoon..they all think we all the same and look at us the same....
I remember, when autosalon was on last year, how media used that as an "encouragement" for young kids to "hoon"....its the way people think needs to change to this side of car world...and the media not to make it sound anything else than what it actually is...
Untill then, not only our club but others too will be spoken badly off...
PS: eg of what people think of sportish looking car :-
Guy (mid 20s) in old MX5 - had windows down and had his music playing (loud enough for people on the streets next to his car to hear it) standing at the lights
OLD GRANDMA - "Bloody hoons..hope he gets his car crushed...doesnt deserve to be on the roads.."
COME ON!!!! MX5 isnt even a performance car...and cant a person have his window down on a summer night and listen to music? what has he done wrong for her to hope him to loose his car...
THIS STUFF JUST SHITS ME!!!!
