yesterday we fitted our vr38 engine into the r35 gtr drag car ... we have a 2nd engine being built as we speak . the first engine is a darton dry sleeved std vr38 block which will be grout filled ..and modifed custom alloy std lenght conrods are on there way . custom je pistons , nitto bilett std stroke crankshaft .arp 625 head studs , l19 main studs , acl race series bearings custom bilett dry sump setup . cnc heads with massive kelford cams without the vct .twin cnc bilett plenums with 75mm hypertune throttle bodies . twin 76 or 80mm precision turbos . we have bilett alloy blocks already drawn up for the drag car in a solid version and have a drawing for a street version to run the darton mid sleeves also ..prob for the middle of next year .. this engine will be capable of 2200 to 2400hp on methanol check it out on the godzilla motorsport facebook page . cheers , mark

Massive day at jamboree qualified 3rd with a 6.641 at 209.88 , 1.07 60 ft Other runs we're 6.74 at 206 & 6.78 at 206 mph . Big thanks to aaron & Joel at itp race cars, for building a weapon of a race car , chad , Craig , glen , big matt for crewing yesterday . Ready for Sunday racing !!!!

We are testing this wed at willowbank with the bigger tyres 17 inch wide ..fingers crossed on a 6 sec pass

1300hp at the wheels. Should run 7.4 .. We make 1200 hp all 4 wheels to run 7.6 at 180 plus mph . We ran 8.69 on my drag radials .. Liberty trans .. 9.0 with ppg .. Auto is similar to a clutch less box .. Very easy to drive prob nos of the trans brake also .. If we continued on the drag radials a 7.9 sec pass would be possible but grip level would be questionable !!!!

On Tuesday we ran 200.48 mph at willowbank . First rb engine to run 200.48 Has plenty left in it . Will be testing in about 3 weeks

We ran a 7.2 at 200.4 mph today with two hits at it due to wheel spin..I believe that's the first 200 mph rb engine Then 7.2 at 199.98 same thing wheel spin in 2nd & 3rd gear .. Was a big weekend .very dif on the 10.5 w tyre to get the clutch set Huge thanks to Aaron & Joel from itp race cars in Perth , toddy , Craig & glen for helping ..

this saturday at willowbank raceway the godzilla motorsport r35 gtr is ready to race again in Factory Extreme .. there are 10 factory extreme 6 sec cars entered .. scott porter has fixed the fastest nissan in the world after his crash and will be there maybe with a few surprises .. fingers crossed we can run our first 6 sec pass , still running the 10.5w tyre for now ... also reece will be racing his r32 gtr on friday , sat & sunday in super compact .. weather seems to be clearing and nice cold air should see some fast times .. come out and say hi . cheers, mark

It felt great on 32 psi 9200 rpm gear shifts tune was a little rich still .. Didn't even touch the steering wheel straight down the middle

We had 2 runs today . First pass was all good till top of 3rd gear when a cdi died .. Borrowed One of gas Motorsport . We rushed to get it ready for next round and didn't refresh the clutch .. Then ran a 7.3 at 181 mph with the shift light on the entire run .. overall very happy first time in car Thanks to my crew Cheers mark Cheers mark

First pass ran a 7.1 at 191 off it in 5 th gear 1.11 60ft 4.5 to 1/2 at 155 mph . Very happy at 32 psi boost , 3 runs on Sunday would be great to run a 6 at wsid Cheers , mark

We are doing our own vr38 development . I contacted ams but no reply . We did one pass on we'd at wsid to 1/2 track on 30 psi . Went 1.15 60ft 4.9 at 145 to 1/2 track 8.00 et ..on a 10.5 w slick Love the car ready now to wind some power in All setup for Saturday at wsid nitro champs event . Cheers mark

We have finally finished the new R35 gtr drag car ..was dynoed last week to 30 psi with the new godzilla spec 3.2ltr rb setup with a precision pro mod 94mm turbo . running a vipec v88 ecu , m&w cdi ignition , motec adl3 dash , 12 xp2000 cc injector , aeromotive fuel pump & reg , 5speed lenco cs4 trans , ace 7.6 tripple plate clutch , pwr radiator and intercooler , 6 boost custom manifold , precision turbo 66mm gate testing and licencing next week then debut event will be the nitro champs in syd early next month .. check out our facebook page .. godzilla motorsport we are also devoloping the vr38 engine as we speak for later in the year , 2000hp plus .. we will be the fastest r35 gtr on the planet... aussie design and built .. cheers, mark godzilla motorsport

we are purchasing a vr38 long engine soon for devolpment .. prob be 12 months before ready to fit in the r35 gtr.. the rb3.2 ltr should rival the 2jz powered cars anyhow.... cheers, mark

not much more racing this year... might have a buyer for the r32 gtr . bit sad but will race under the godzilla motorsport team still.. i could drive the car at some events. the r35 gtr pro car is ready to build the rb 3.2 ltr version then final fit out ...be racing early next year.. cheers, mark

thanks for the comments guys... big thanks to everone over the years who have helped me at the track at hundreds of test n tunes... it was a great pass to 1/2 track 4.92 at 147.8mph and fell over prob because of the big headwing of prob 6 to 10 mph we usually put on 36 to 38 mph from 1/2 track ... at the boost levels we run with no intercooler it is very difficult to keep it 100% from 1/2 track on .... beating the old hks r33 gtr time of 7.67 was a great feeling !!!!also we are the fastest black 2.6 gtr in the world . ha ha here is the video we were going to leave the car alone for a while and finish the new r35 gtr pro rwd race car but being so close to reece its hard cheers , mark

this friday at willowbank raceway come out and see the heat treatment gtr and the godzilla motorsport gtr race at the top fuel event... you should see some great 7 sec gtr passes.. should be fun..
