i had to pick someone up from the launy airport at 4.30 and coming from devonport the times clashed, i did spot you guys though, and i think some of you may have spotted my car driving past, i was in the dark blue r34gtt. would've been nice to meet you's. next time hopefully.

im keen for a cruise/meet somewhere up north. as long as twisties are included.
  4. hey, i actually want to put the airbox back on for good, not just for rego. my pod has this blitz filter sheild over it, and it gives any spool of the turbo a whistling sound, it really sounds ghey imo, and want to hear zero or atleast less spool whistle. out of curiosity, which workshop did you take yours to for roadworthy?
  5. dayyyyyum, how massively over-engineered is that portico? i know you get snow and the occasional earthquake in japan, but those bolted splice connections look like they belong in an industrial plant. nice work on the car too.
  6. also after an r34 airbox with snorkel. cheers
  7. is the outer lip annodized blue? or is it painted? annodizing fades pretty fast doesnt it? im really interested in these, but just worried about that lip. are you certain that they would clear r34gtt brakes without the need for spacers?
  8. as per title, im after an r34 washer bottle with the motor. need it for a roadworthy to register my car over here. willing to pay up to $50 cheers pm or txt 0437 580 559
  9. rexnet has more information, and is more nsw/qld centric, wrx.com.au is primarily vic based. i'd say rexnet is more helpfull.
  10. that fitment is perfect. what are the specs?
  11. haha, i was just thinking that. i think it may be the blue steering wheel and those gauges that turn people off. easily fixed though. gl
  12. what is this supposed to mean?
  13. just out of curiousity, what makes 'nissan super silver' so difficult to work with?
  14. +1 on more detailed, horizontal and correctly orientated photos please.

    Noise Cameras

and how do you propose we do that?
  16. i bought an r34gtt primarily because i cant stand the ancient r32gtr interior, and was also concerned about their age. driving the 34 and a mates 32gtr is a completely different experience, however i cant wait to get back into the 34 after being in his car, and there isnt really that much real-world differenece in performance between the two, besides the 32 having more modding potential, but if like you say, you plan to have it as a daily, the 34 is better in almost every way. if i was you, id use your stock sti as a daily, the 34 gtt feels archaic in comparison to my 05 wrx, uses more fuel, and is probably slower though i cant confirm this as i havent had the chance to track it yet. but you do get a special feeling in the skyline. also, after driving awd, be carefull in a gtt, they loose traction at a whiff of throttle in the wet, and are way to easy to slip in the dry too. have fun.
  17. hey mate, what rims are these? to me they look like those 'dtm' things you get off ebay, but painted gunmetal? is that right? they look seriously hot!
  18. sorry to hijack this thread. but does anyone know a flexible workhop on the northwest coast who will give me a roadworthyfor the 34? it has a few mods and the guy i took my wrx to was a picky bugger, he did give me the peice of paper though, however im pretty sure he wont for the skyline. cheers
  19. that looks sexay in the black. agree with above re polishing raised bits.
  20. ok, c'ya size 3 font in all posts ftmfl.
  21. + 1 AMAZING WORK
  22. hey 665dan, have you got the panels ready for the reverse lights? im not fussed about having to heat the lens to be able to fit them etc, just after the actual panels. cheers
  23. ok, so when i get up to 90km/h the steering wheel begins to vibrate/shake, in an up and down motion. as i hit 100km/h it gets worse, i wouldnt call it violent but enough to be annoing, it tends to taper off past 115km/h. guy i bought the car from said it had recently had an wheel alignment and i dont have reason to doubt him as the front tyres are new. its got hks coilovers, lowered, but not overly, visually i cant spot any real camber or toe, looks pretty neutral. what could be causing the vibrations? cheers
