  1. yeap, I'll get a wireless card in the sim and race you in the next couple of days. Did the setup I made work better for you? G
  2. need to run the new mod... this one has braking issues which havesince been fixed I've disovered... I'll pload a better view in the new car soon... G
  3. here it is! low quality, but thats how it outputs from the sim....
  4. I'm using this mod, but the older version... http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?I...Z%2DTune%20Road thats why I've had braking issues... I read on here the update to 1.1 fixes brake issues! I'll have a play tonight and see how it goes with better brakes. G
  5. With damage off I gather... lol... no walls allowed! nice time tho... I think I'm in the GTR-R but I'm not sure. waiting for a youtube vid to finish uploading for ya... G
  6. with the Nismo 34r mod (the best one to use) I have laid down a 2:08.151 at bathurst. a 2:07 definitely possible as I'm still tweaking suspension settings and have only done 10 laps in the car so far. Tips... 1, soften suspension 2, change gear ratios till you can get 308KMh down conrod with rear wing on 2 and front splitter on 2 3, MUST increase brake ducts to as big as you can. Brake fade is a MAJOR problem with brake temps over 1100degrees!!! brake at the kink in the end of conrod, and pump the brakes, brake earlier here, because by the final turn, the brakes don't get enough time to cool and you can end up in the fence with no brakes! 4, use torque split of 35 front 65 rear. or 30/70 5, increase tyre pressures and play with camber settings till you have even tyre temps across the tyres. cold in the middle, add pressure and vice versa. 6, slow in, fast out 7, drive smooth, smooth is fast, don't try to drift, it will, but don't try! 8, raise rev limit to 9000RPM hope that helps, and gives you something to aim for! 7. Just be careful you don't double book the server Steve! JFF use the server too so I should give them a plug and get you guys to check out their site too, they're a great bunch of guys who race regularly and would appreciate new guys to race with... Check here first before you host a game to see if there is a race or practise scheduled, or join up and race with the guys, they're on most nights racing... http://jff-racing.my-goo.com/ any time they're not using the server, you're welcome to load up the skyline mod or whatever and any track you like and have a blast! have fun! Gadget
  8. ROFL... The "guy" in the video is me... when I had hair a couple of years ago... no Traction control... the Corvette I am driving needs to be driven like you stole it to get fast times... it breaks traction yes, but it drifts well, hence the wild steering corrections constantly! Nothin' wrong with mashing accelerators mate Gadget
  9. Hi guys Just to let you know... I have spent 8 years, and many prototypes perfecting and building what I believe to be the most realistic Racing simulator in Australia. I spent $55,000 odd building and rebuilding an R31 Wagon a few years ago, I just relived it today showing Steve all the photos of busted diffs, turbos, gearboxes and other bits... I decided to build a sim instead, as it was cheaper in the long run... Now I drive an Aston Martin DBR9, a Porsche Cup Car, a Mercedes Truck, a V8 Supercar, and the list goes on... Rest assured, for those of you booked in for the simulator experience, you'll have a great time! I'm going to see if I can arrange to have the Simulator at the Yacht club where my Yacht is moored, as there are a couple of Barbecues and a large covered area to entertain guests there, and a bar for drinks purchases as well... watch this space... Some of you may even want to come out for a sail for an hour or so if the weather permits, but the yacht can only take 12 or so comfortably. Steve downloaded the skyline mod for me this afternoon, so I'll install it tonight and have a play setting up the car for Bathurst and seeing what sort of times I can punch out. If I get time I'll record a hot lap and get it up on youtube for you to check out... heres one from a couple years ago before I got the 62" screen (yes... sixty two...) Cheers, Gadget
