  1. A little race from over here, i know ther not skylines but if you have anything like this put them up on our site over here in the uk. Hope you enjoy them. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...1&l=80bb95862a
  2. Ishan, the triple gauges in mine are the standard ones fitted to the top of the dash, but as i had a factory fitted screen up there which didn't work over here i just removed it and fitted a standard satnav in its place. After removing the head unit for it and regiging the heater control and stereo unit the gauges just fit in after removing the fixing lugs. Finished of with a bit of clear plastic and a bit of trim i painted black. If you need any more info about the triple gauges just let me know i will try and help you if i can. Here are a few pics to show you.
  3. Well if you can get hold of the coloued sleeves and for how long it takes to change them you could change them every now and then, over here they come in red, blue, green and yellow. You could even go multi coloured if you which but then you would have the problem of which colour goes where. Thanks for your great comments skittles and ishan
  4. Hi i am Sean from the UK, just changed colour of dash in my R34 GTT to red, sorry for picture quality but you can see what the result would be like. I did not go down the led route instead just got hold of some red bulb sleeves/covers. A far cheaper way cost me £5 to do the lot including triple gauges, ignition and cig lighter and still got a few left. Just got the small switches and the heater displat to sort out now.
  5. Can anyone tell me where the turbo boost sensor that connects to the triple gauges on my r34gtt is located under the bonnet.
  6. Thanks for your comments sapphiregraphics, the gauges are set to the same angle as stereo and heater controls the facia is made out of mdf used a black marker pen to colour it, i agree it needs more work to get it to look right but they were rather difficult to fit in, rather tight no tolerance. I had to move the stereo to its lowest possible point then drop the heater controls down a bit to squeeze the gauges in as i wanted to use the origanal gtt ones fitted as standard, might even get something made up in plastic once the mdf looks right using them as a template.
  7. Got a little more work to do with triple gauge facia ie the colour want to try and get the same grey as the rest as for the stereo they are temps just a bit of wood covered in insulation tape but will be replacing them with some angled painted metal either attached to stereo or as they are.
  8. No luck with the wiring harness so i have took the plastic bit off one of the leads to the xanavi and connected them seperatly to their relevent positions. Connected the bulbs and ignition feed wires from the hazard switch going to go to mgt racing to find out about the oil and turbo sensors and then trace back wires to the interior then branch off from there so nearly there. After they are all connected just got to sort out a bit of facia but at least the end of this little project is getting closer.
  9. Well where do i start with this day i have had, just trying to make my R34 a little different on the cheap, as i have not a lot of cash left after buying presents for my missus and kids. Finally got the triple gauges into the position i wanted them but cut through the power lead to my satnav whilst doing so. Fitted back my radio and heater controls to find out a had forgot to attach the aerial lead now thats a doh moment and if that is not bad enough after spending 4hrs driving around trying to find some bulbs and a wiring harness with no luck came home and had a beer. well i hope your day has been better, bye for now. cheers for taking the time to read this.
  10. I Have taken out my Xanavi satnav system that was faulty replaced the screen with my own satnav and fitted the standard triple gauges where the xanavi headunit was,now the question is how do i connect them up. I have heard they use a seperate harness but where and what does the plug it connects to look like, ie sqaure, oblong and how many wires if anyone can help me identify it, it would be great.

  12. Happy Christmas everyone over there, hope you are having a great time, the best of luck for the New Year too. from the Rapidrider here in the UK.
  13. Thanks Andy for your input i had already seen your post and it has helped me about the loom needed just got to get one. I have just got to sort a facia plate for them. Thought about replacing the clear plastic on them and then cutting a new one to cover the gaps and painting the back black so all you see is the dials i will let you know how i get on.
  14. Hi my name is Sean i live in the UK, this is my first time on your site. After looking through your forum i have noticed that the xanavi screen to the triple gauge conversion has not popped up recently, i have don it a little differently to others but still have the same problem to get it wired up, now if i can get my hands on the correct loom is there some where to connect it to behind the speedo cluster. You will probably are wondering what i have done different so here it goes. I have taken the screen out but left the cradle in and after a bit of modifing of the backplate put my own satnav in its place but it still can be removed as easy as if it was attached to the windscreen. The triple gauges have been fitted where the headunit for the satnav was, i had slightly adjust the position of the heater controls and the stereo unit by dropping them about 10mm cutting the 2 fixing plates to enable this reattaching them and then cutting the remainder off above the heater control to allow the gauges to fit. You have to cut a bit off the side tags of the gauges to allow them to go back then fixing them back with a screw after drillig a pilot hole. ONCE AGAIN DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE LOOM PLUGS INTO BEHIND THE MAIN CUSTER.
