  1. Still have Block, coils, injectors, ECU and harness for sale.
  2. according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_RB_engine#RB25 the RB25DE NEO and RB25DET NEO inlet cams are the same. I have a RB25DE head for sale. includes the inlet cam. I can include the inlet cam pulley bolt if that's the bolt you need. $350 ono Cardif NSW.
  3. I also have an R33 Series 2 Wiring loom and ECU. I have stripped the tape off the ECU end of the loom in the process of using it for a conversion, thus the un-needed bits are gone. I have labelled the useful wires. VVT plug broken, but otherwise OK. Includes coil and injector harness. $200ono Y33 Cefiro engine loom. Missing the usual import engine bits as cut off by the wreckers. Does have knock plugs and the 6-pin plug for connecting to the main engine loom. $50.
  4. I have a few bits from a RB25DE NEO strip down. Rear Wheel Drive NEO RB25DE engine block, including crank, rods, pistons. Crank and bearings are great, but the pistons have suffered shrapnel damage. Block will need rebore. $350ono. RB25DE NEO Head, includes cams, solid lifters, exhaust cam pulley $350ono. Slight damage to combustion chamber edges, valves appear OK. Y33 Cefiro engine mounts (the rubber bits) suit AWD RB25DET $40 pair R33 Skyline engine mount brackets (the alloy bits) $40 pair R34 RB25 NEO coil packs, $50ea or $200 for the 6. R34 RB25DE NEO injectors and fuel rail $150. A46-00 markings, red top Y33 Cefiro AWD sump and diff. 4.08 ratio. $350ono. All located in Cardiff NSW, All negotiable. Happy to post smaller items. Best contact by phone 0418397017. Ben.
  5. The RB30s and RB30e heads use the same inlet manifold pattern. So the RB30s inlet manifold won't fit your twin cam head. You'll probably have to custom make something. Your other problem will be ignition - correct me if i'm wrong - but the twin cam heads normally use coil packs. That means you'd also have to figure out a way to fit a distributor too. Comments about the RB30s lack of ability to rev seem to ignore that the camshaft profile for the patrol is likley to be very different to the RB30e in the skylines. The patrol is set up to have good power from idle for 4WDriving and higher revs are not really required for a standard 4WD.
  6. Hi Folks, I've got a modified RB30 head to go on my patrol which I am currently re-conditioning. It was removed from an R31 skyline some time ago. It is fitted with a different camshaft, vlave springs and cam gear when compared to an un-modified head. Both the inlet and exhaust ports have been enlarged. I hoping someone might recognise the markings I found on various parts in order to help me identify the thing and it's potential. The head itself has the name John Chard 1999 or John Charo 1999 engraved by hand along the back rocker cover sealing surface. The outer valve springs have been 'upgraded'. I note that the 1, 2 and 3 exhaust valves do not have the reverse wound springs fitted as indicated in the patrol handbook. I am unsure why nissan would have specified reverse wound springs for the 1, 2 and 3 exhaust valves only, and I wonder what effect - if any - is likely to occur by not having them. The camshaft is stamped with 2 codes at the front (under the cam gear) KLJ and H14. It measures different to the stnadard patrol (RB30S) cam in overall lobe height. It would be nice to know what brand/grind it is to make sure I have it dialled in correctly when re-assembling the motor. I have searched around the 'net for a few days now with no real success. The cam gear appears to be a custom modified unit to allow vernier style adjustment of the cam timing. For what it's worth, the patrol runs Motec EFI - so being able to tune it effectively poses no real problem once installed. Any help in identifying the origin of the mods and parts would be greatly appreciated. PS any enlightenment on the valve spring specs for 1, 2 and 3 exhaust also appreciated.
  7. Hi ya all, been poking arouns SAU for ages now and i figured it was sbout time to register and dig deeper into the SAU community. Don't actually have a skyline ATM, but do have a GQ patrol with an RB30 in it - and I figure here has got to be one of the better places to get some more info about the RB30 and what it can do. Thanks .
