  1. Easy fixed - Cage's are allowed in all classes. Race car class = Full Slicks, Stripped interior, or significant weight reduction (Eg. Carbon/Fibre doors or Perspects), or any modification to original suspension pickups, or running engine capacity more than 50cc above stock. What ever you want to include. Basically just something to separate the quick original (street trim) cars with basic mods from the dedicated track cars.
  2. Firstly let me say "Well Done Guys" Just getting the car over there and competeing is excellent, but to put down sub 1min lap is so fast for a 1st try. I love that vid, makes me want to spent more money that I dont have. In regards to this suggested competition you might find some usefull information here: SAU-VIC Motorsport This is basically our rules and regs for the SAU-Vic motorsport championship, which seems to work pretty well. For this comp thou you would probably add a class and have a standard, modified, and race class (race class being slicks, or cage, or stripped cars) Especially check out post#3 in regards to tyre ratings. Snowy and I have put a bit of work into these classes and tyres that are considered 'R' compound, and you may be able to use some information or pick bits that might be suitable to this comp. Also add me to the keen list.
  3. Great work boys. Now Dutton can steal our ideas.
  4. BBQ was a fair bit of effort to organise, but i'm glad you all enjoyed it. Congrats to all the winners, and don't forget to come to the meeting on the 18th to collect prises. For the new people who came along who felt ostracized I would suggest that by the time you arrived people had already been in the sun for a good couple of hours and were a little knackered. I know I wasn't moving from the marquee. As many people have already stated SAU is generally very friendly, so please don't let that put you off.
  5. Results are done: Click Here
  6. LOL - Nice work.
  7. HAHAHA - That's pretty funny. Min and I love it.
  8. HAHAHA. Dave - What the hell is that? Next time tell me your doing something like that and i'll get out the incar camera. I think we need video camera's on the mini-wang next time.
  9. Yep - I don't want to know that I lost it from brain fade in the last event. I think Dan will have AWD round win in the bag for sure. But I think both the AWD and RWD series champions will be close. I'll be finalising the results tonight.
  10. Snags are ordered. 25 Spicy Bratwurst 25 Mild Bratwurst 50 Plain 25 Pork 25 Sun-dried Tomato and herb. I'm hungry now...
  11. All the screws came from bigred's boot locking machanism - j/k Results are still being processed. Sorry! I havn't been home any night this week so far, and tonight is no different. I'll see what I can do.
  12. Remember guys this is coming up this Sat. Should be a good day. I'm going to order some nice sausages for us to cook on the BBQ. I'll cya all there.
  13. hmm not good Ant. I also suffered a chipped windscreen from the NSW trip and am in the process of getting it repaired right now. I had another company come to replace it yesterday and they pulled the old screen out and then told me that the glass they brought along is actually for a 4-door and wont fit. Idiots. I'm praying they are fixing it right now.

    Happy Bday Tx5!

    Happy Birthday BIG BOY!!
  17. Happy Birthday Snowplough!
  18. We should have a most likely to get sunburn at an SAU Event award. Mav - winner hands down.
  19. I dunno - I have no real answer for that. It just felt comfortable I guess. It may extend from the fact I have missed 2nd to 3rd a few times before when in tight corners, so I like to keep on the stick and make sure I stick the shift properly. Because gearboxes are expensive.
  20. GTR's in RWD are no fun at all. Unless you like frying tyres. I had no chance of going fast on the long wang when I killed the front diff at Dutton. If we did this day i'd also be putting softer springs in and setup like a GTST.
  21. So did we get a pic of the best mo? Was the meeting good? Did we watch my footage from NSW? Any random comments on that?
  22. The shaft has probably gone rusty by now anyway.... It'll be no good.

  24. Yeah - It's a case of use it or loose it!
  25. Just make the stencil bit age. Can then spray onto one of the 500 hats I currently have.
