Mine was!! - 248rwkw stock GTR with stock turbo's (0.95bar), slotted std disks, RE55's, Tein Flex with Eibac springs and whiteline bushes.
Surely about the same $$ you spent on mods?? No? But faster.....
Don't underestimate a stock GTR for reliability and decent speed. I hammered mine as hard as I could for a good 3 years before I decided I would change the turbo's in case they failed (Not because they failed), and then I had a tuning issue that caused ping and ultimatly a hairline crack in a piston. But stock GTR's can be relaible track cars, as long as you keep the oil and water temps low and look after them and don't do stupid mods or visit stupid workshops.
Basically I agree with everything else you have said thou. For this guy my advise would be get out there and have some fun in you RB20, maybe even do a few sensible mods. But don't waste money. If it does start to get boring and you want to pump some decent coin into a car and get your lap times right down, then go buy a GTR. But be warned, Track GTR = Money pit.
