I enjoy your banter Roy. You and the silver bullet need to spend some more quality time together. If you spent a couple of nights outside with her in the cold before a track day, checking your leaks, checking your levels, checking your hose clamps, installing your own fire extinguishers, and generally preping the car then perhaps you wouldn't have as many frequent issues.

Yeah 1m55 just seems slow these days. There is actually a penatly lap if you go faster than this. Plus my car has issues handling more than 1 hot lap these days. The oil temps get way too hot. But I guess if I cruised around on street tyres I could possibly do 1m50 laps all day. I dunno, I just thought this would suit some of you who just want to get some laps under your belt. If it was an outright speed relay, then there would be more interest from jack, aaron, snowy, me etc.

I'm posting this because it's an interesting event and CAMS keep sending me emails about it. This is not an SAU event. This is a CAMS event for L2S Licence holders of any CAMS affiliated club. Date - 29th and 30th of September 2007 Cost - $1450 per team (So $242 each for a team of 6) Web - http://www.6hourrelay.com.au Team - 3-6 drivers Minimum Lap time - 1m55.00 (So you must lap slower than this time) Supp. Regs. - Click Here As far as I can tell this event is a team event that any team with any car(s) can win, because it's an average speed thing. This event would suit anyone L2S holder keen to get a lot of laps under their belt at an awesome track like Phillip Island. It would be cool to have team SAU, and I know there has been talk about this before from a few members. I wont be doing this event, but I thought some of you might find it interesting.

How can you possibly make money replacing a clutch for $150?
-
Yes, basically because DECA is a big deal for SAU VIC and we want everyone to have the chance to experience DECA. We decided for the club to grow we needed to allow new people to hear about it and have a chance to enter. Therefore we have always kept around five spots free for a few days to a week after the event opens up for new members or anyone who hasn't done a DECA with SAU VIC before. The hope was that this action would increase our member base. And I believe it has. DECA is cool. SAUVIC knew it. WRX club knows it and now SAU NSW knows it.

Yep, 1:47:79 - Phillip Island. (Snowy slowed me down)

I'll most likely be taking the entries again. I'll keep you guys posted when the time comes. Approx how many NSW'ers do we think might come?
-
Yep last time I went down the 1/4, I got 12.1 @ 119. But that was on the old std engine with std turbs. Car was 250kw then, it's now 310kw. But it's not a drag car in any form. When Bris says 'fast' he is just stiring. The car is fast around corners. But with negative camber and such it's not going to be much faster than a 12 flat or 11.9ish down the strip. Anyway, it will be fun regarless.
-
Hey Bris - Perhaps you should move back to NSW. You might get on the top ten in the Sump baffle state.
-
LOL Actually I will probably have painted my CF bonnet QM1 white by then. Getting sick of the crappy quality thing with all it's cracks and poorly laid carbon. Makes the car look cheap.

This pod kit has only done 5,000km on my GTR with a spacer I made up on the standard AFM (Air Flow Meter's). Selling due to going down a different path and not getting Z32 AFM's. Comes with 2x Apexi pods, monting brackets, silicon hoses and polished hard pipes with Apexi badging, gasket, and 2x Z32 AFM wiring harness. I bought this new from Greenline for $550 delivered. They are a little cheaper now thou due to aussie dollar strength.

I like it. I think Linkin Park have always been different right from the start and will continue to produce "different" material. Think back to hybrid theory being their first real album and then reanimation being their second. What other band do you know that has realeased a re-mix album as their second production album? It's pretty rare. Their label didn't want them to do it, but they did. Their are some good tracks on this album. I was more disappointed with the length of the album. IMO it needs another heavy song.

R33 GTR Rims with tyres. 4 rims 17"x 9". Rims have been poweder coated white. The tyres are a street legal DOT rated track tyre (Semi-Comp). They are Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 255/40/17" The UTAG rating is 80AAA (Treadwear, Traction, Temperature) The tyres are about 60% on the outer edge and 20% on the very inside edge. They would not pass a road worthy, but they are usable. One tyre has almost worn through on the very inner edge, but would be fine on most cars on the rear. Because the rims have been used as a track rim their is some brake pad material (dust) that appears to have become fused in the corners of the rims that were on the front. For an extra $250 plus paint, I will strip and paint the rims with a 2k (2-Pac) paint colour of your choice and 2k clear. I recommend R34 Rim colour. Buyer can arrange shipping if they wish. I may be able to deliver to metro Melbourne.

Ash you don't even have a car. It's just a myth. Yep this day is all about fun. Bring any car, run it, no pressure.
-
Yeah good luck. I might goto the PIARC one in two weeks if i'm happy with the car.
-
Don't the $20 super cheap ones only come with a plastic bracket? Which we will actually allow to pass @ DECA, but it wont pass at a CAMS event. Anyway preferance is that you buy one with a metal bracket.
-
P.S Next DECA will have personal fire extinguishers in the supp regs. We have had a few close incidents @ DECA in the past and I think it will save someone's car one day and possibly someones life. So get moving now. SAU will organise a group buy for some before then. Alternativly, K-Mart sell extinguishers for $30 with a metal bracket. It's worth it.
-
Yep Doughboy and Bris certainly know how to entertain a crowd, but I really wish you could both put a leash on your wallets. But a big thanks thou. I wanted to wait for ya, but KFC was calling. But bottom line is I didn't get in trouble... Ray came out? Oh yeah he got mav with the hot sauce. Mav being the vetran hot sauce victim should have guessed.

Seat time is helpfull. Racepace engine's are a must. Car is so much stronger everywhere.
-
Lol. I thought you might have stayed clear of VIC after last weekend. If this car of yours ever gets finished you need to come show us. Now my car is on the road. I might come see what it can do.

So fax in the entry form ASAP and send an email to vice@sauvic.com.au, as I wont be checking the fax machine unless I have to. (i'm not at work)
