Yep send me an entry form ASAP, and your in. Entry list updated on Page 1. As always we have had people pull out. All reserves are in. We will run with 55 entrants.

Yes, the gem has been to DECA before (Driven by a TX5 driver)... But all Gemini's are currently retired until project Bankruptsy ends. But the mighty gem will return one day, mark my words.. I plan on having a tarmac gem and a rally gem. P.S Tequilla sank the NSW boat last DECA. Ask Steve-o...
-
Got it Michael. Currently 5 on the reserve list. But those NSW twats will probably pull out cause they are all soft.
-
You still havn't learnt have you? You start the sh1t talk after you get the results, not before!
-
Lol, If you beat my 1.21.3 @ Sandown, i'm finding a 2nd hand stocker and throwing that in and having another crack at it. Actually what am I talking about that was on std turbs and std brakes. Go nuts bris.

Their is no mandatory (statutory) punishment for driving whilst suspended in VIC. I know this 100% I was lucky and got no additional time added to my suspension. The magistrates discretion will come into play. More than likely you will get an extended period of suspension. But because it is magistrates discretion it's worth having a "real good story" and showing emotion, remorse, etc.

Entry list on page 1 updated. Current odds on me having a car for this - 6/1.

West I need to see an entry form from you. Even if you just put "TBA" in the licence section. Actually you helped out last DECA, so if you sent me an entry you are automatically in. Also I made a mistake with the order faxes were recieved. I missed Matt's Fax completly, but it was their, so I have slotted him into 50th position. So Russell you are now Reserve #2. Sorry this was my mistake.

tj - Your fax machine and my fax machine just don't like each other. I got your fax again, but same thing again, two blank pages with a line down the middle. Luck it has a name at the top. Any chance of Scan and e-mail?

Correct, statutory punishments. For example 40km over = 6mth loss of licence. You are either found guilty or not guilty. If guilty it's 6mths no matter what, their is no movement. But the fine imposed is based on circustances. Where as with being caught driving without a licence is up to majistrates discretion. But generally they will increase your suspension.
-
Still spots left. I would fax an entry form now if I were you.
-
Damn I can't go. Same day as Ace Karts.
-
I hear you putting your hand up to design this... Yeah if you want to investigate it, then we will consider it for next time. Also because everyone will be sitting with their finger on the button, i'm going to be very harsh on entry forms that are not completed properly. FILL IN EVERYTHING PEOPLE!! I need Entrant name, Club, Membership number, CAMS or AASA number, and both the Entrant and Drivers signature on the back disclaimer page. (This will mean two signatures)

Ash, get back in your box. We know you love the constitution. Don't loose the plot people, this is a car club not the USA, and the committe is doing the best job we can to make fair for all. Try to remember to have fun. You'll live longer.

James is 100% correct. Also other members were nominated and suggested but chose not to run because they believed the current nominees were adequate for the role.

I'll get to work on the super gem.
-
The solution to this problem is definitely a LADA. I believe there are a few going cheap around these forums. Or perhaps this...
-
Also remember that only current financial members of SAU VIC can be nominated, can nominate or can second.

Ash I can tell you 100% that it is up to the magistrate discretion. They can extend your time from zero to whatever. But you will get a fine in the order of $500 - $800 again up to the magistrate discretion based on living and working circumstances. Being prepared, being respectful, well dressed, and remorseful goes a long way in court. Take my advice on this. Lawyers aren't always the answer. Speaking honestly and directly to the magistrate got me quite far to the point that the prosecuter was amazed with the decision.
-
Yep exactly, and they can bite hard because of this. I was 21 when I bought my GTR. I didn't have an accident or kill anyone. I would recommend that if the person had no prior track, kart, rally experience then sure buy the car, becasue it's your decision and your money, but just take it easy and treat it with respect. Learn to drive it off the road not in traffic, if you feel the need to punt it hard. End of the day it's his decision. I say go for it. I feel I was mature enuf at 21 to drive the GTR. But I know plenty of ppl that aren't.

I have two backup options should this fall though. Ring me if required.
